Question about Kenmore Washing Machines
Sounds like a mechanical problem. Seized drive, clutch, or motor. Or, it could be a leak: something has gotten wet that shouldn't. Or, it could be a chafed wire contacting the frame. No way to tell without digging in with test equipment and a brain. Decide if it's worth a hundred dollar (or more) repair bill. If not, time for a new one.
