Question about Cuisinart Cbk-200 2-pound Convection Automatic Bread Maker

Open Question

Bread paddle wont turn and belt is working.

After reading many forums I found I need to "replace the transistor nearest the motor relay. It is a small transistor #9013." I simply do not know WHERE to acquire this item, and HOW to go about replacing it. Can anyone offer a precise answer. I prefer This bread maker saves us at least $35 a month.

SOURCE: Bread container won't stay seated

I had the same problem. I bent the spring tabs out and it helped a bit. I then made sure the breadpan was straight across the top. That seemed to do it. Only problem now is that I can't find the kneeding paddle.

SOURCE: Burns Bread

Look very carefully where the bread pan goes in. There is a heating element around it. If the bread pan is too close or touching the heating element ( the round thing running around the wall), it will burn the bread. You can try moving the bread pan away from the heating element. If you try and bend the heating element, it may break the element, so move the bread pan only.

I'm pretty sure that means the cook chamber is either too cold or too hot Are you putting cold water or cold milk etc. as a liquid without warming the liquid up to about 80 degress fahrenheit first? If you are warming your liquids then you have a more serious problem with your bread machine and you will probably have to have it serviced.

Your drive
belt has probably either broken or come off. Make sure your machine is
unplugged and turn it on its side and take the bottom panel off. The belt is in
there. If it has snapped or come off you'll need to replace it. I have a few
belts that might fit. Hopefully your
belt will have letter/number code on the smooth side. It will look something like this: STS 80 S3M 561 Email me that code to If I have it I could sell you the belt. There are several videos

Motor runs paddle does not move

Your drive belt is probably broken or has slipped off. unplug your machine and turn it on its side (remove the pan and paddle first) and remove the bottom panel with a screwdriver. You will then be able to see if the belt is broken or has slipped off. You can reach me at for reinstall or replacement of your belt.

Bread paddle wont turn

You need to replace the transistor nearest the motor relay. It is a small transistor numbered 9013. Other transistors with the same number turn on and off other features of the unit such as heating. I got my transistors from fairchild semiconductor. Open the lid, unscrew the screw that holds the black plastic rim of the control panel, and then youll be able to pop off the control panel cover and see the two circuit boards, the one you want is the one without the lcd screen and large relays. Order your new transistors and replace.

Hi.. The "central shaft" could mean the motor shaft is not turning or the "central shaft" could be the paddle shaft in the bread pan is not turning. If it's the motor shaft then tighten or replace belt. Since you "lost all your stuff" it could be the sealed bearing in the bottom of the bread pan has broken. The paddle doesn't turn and is leaking. If this is the case the bread pan needs replacement. Hank

Need a belt. do not have a parts list. does it take a belt? stopped turning but motor is running.

Hi. They sell the belts at Amazon for about $10.00. First you should make sure the paddle is not stuck. Take the bread pan out and see if you can turn the paddle by hand. Keep pan out of machine and start a kneading cycle. If motor shaft does not spin then it's probably the belt. Motor and belt is located in base of machine. Make sure you unplug the machine before checking out the belt. Hank

The paddle doesn't seem to have a strong enough "push" behind it

Hello, Either the blade is sticking or the belt is loose. Take the pan out and see if you can spin the paddle freely by hand. The paddle should turn nice and free. If it doesn't then the lubricated bearing the paddle rotates on is sticking. This could be due to wear. Put some warm water in the pan and let it sit. Try a few times...DO NOT put the whole pan in water...just fill it. If that's a no go the lubricated bearing is frozen and the pan needs to be replaced. If everything is fine in the pan, then the belt is loose. Belt, pulleys and motor are located in the base of the machine. Remember to unplug first before working on it.. Hank

One blade does not turn

The left blade on a BD 2300 bread maker did not turn when neading the dough. I took it apart by removing the six screws in the bottom of the case and the screws inside around the bottom outer edges of the metal insert. I then removed the screws holding the motor assembly to the base. I found that the metal plate attached to the paddle shaft driven by the gear had torn through the plastic gear, and was no longer driving the paddle. I made a new plate with the end bent down 90 degrees so that it fitted into a slot in the plastic gear. This is much stronger and the breadmaker now works fine. This is a weakness in the design and the failure could occur on either paddle. failures of the left paddle could be due to the toothed belt breaking, this drives from the right paddle gear. There is also a belt between the motor and the left paddle gear.

No, Everything should be done automatically. It seems that the machine did not knead the dough. Two things may have caused this. 1) The paddle is frozen and wont turn. Take the pan out of the machine and see if you can rotate the paddle by hand. If yes...that's cool, if no then the sealed bearing that the paddle rotates on is jammed or broken. Try filling the pan with warm water and let it soak. If after a few times it's still frozen, then the bearing is broken and bread pan needs to be replaced. 2) Belt fell off or is snapped. Keep the pan out of the machine and go to a kneading cycle. Look through the window on the lid and see if the motor shaft is turning. If no... the belt fell off or snapped, or the motor is broken. Good luck..Hank
