Xbox360 not reading my games

Xbox360 is failing to read games. it shows a message saying unplayeble disc for all my games.

Maybe you could have a dirty laser lens or a faulty DVD player, try cleaning the lens (with the CD type cleaner) or you may need to replace the DVD drive. Call Microsoft and explain your situation.

I don't know why this was marked as 'inappropriate', my suggestion is useful, you COULD have a faulty DVD drive or dirty lens, if you don't know what's wrong woth it yourself, how do you know my suggestion is inappropriate?

When last did you clean the pick up lens on the console?
Sounds like the pick up lens is not reading the disc, any hard collisions on the console recently? If you have the correct lens cleaner at hand I would advise a cleaning asap, see if this solves the issue.

Yes the disc reading problem is quite bad all you need to do is use a good repair guide or you can send it in and they will fix it for you.

it is a good thing that you clean the disc,is there any visible scratches on the game disc?, if none, please do try another disc game that is available,check if the other game disc will have the same error message if it does,unfortunately it is the console but if other game disc work it may do happen that this is a disc issue

you need to turn a pot down on your discdrive, google search " xbox360 pots moda " the first link is a pdf get this an it will show you how to fix it, this as never failed for me. hope this helps ??

Xbox will not read any game or dvd

It sounds like your DVD drive has failed, this is fairly common. There is a good chance it is still under warranty from microsoft. Give them a call at:

800-4-My-Xbox

If it is not under warranty you can replace the dvd drive itself, google xbox 360 replacement parts. It's not too difficult if you are technically inclined.

Xbox360 game will not read

If your xbox is modded try a different brand of disc.
Obviously try and clean the disc itself.
Else your dvd drive is faulty and needs to be replaced
