My phone got locked in my pocket and it keeps asking me for the password. How do I get the password?

Hi Amy
What Cell Phone do you use? Brand & Model?
Is the password 4 characters wide or longer?
or is it the PUK code that it's after
or the IMEI Number
Who created the password for the phone in the first place?

Passwords are meant to keep unauthorised people out.
So.....It's just doing it's job.

When you figure it all out... get an App called 1Password
or Splash ID to keep all your passwords & personal information together.
If will prove indispensable over the years to remember your:
Vehicle License, Insurance #, passwords, PIN#, Safe Combination, superannuation #, and a whole heap of stuff that we are required to keep on file these days.
Good Luck

Nearly all features offer an "forgot your" option for username and/or password. Must be a lot of people who do. That's how you get around the problem and how they keep other people out of the wrong accounts.

Memory card is not readable on computer. while in nokia mobile(x3-00) it asks for password. but i havent given any password to card. actually I have updated mobile software & afterwords the problem...

loma it is possible your memory card has a security code but once it was sincronized by your device before updating firmware that why it was not asking for password, but once you update, for your memory card it look like new device so he is asking password, if you don't have password you have to format memory card but there you will lose all data.and your memory card will work normally.

I have a user name that I don't want to change. Can I try finding a password only?

a password doesn't have to be diffucult, or even make since. but writing it down & keeping it safe is a very good idea..
if the problem with the email persists contact gmail customer & ask them about it, they may have a simple solution

Dear john, replacing CMOS Battery usually RESET password ( plug out your laptop battery, then plug out the CMOS battery. keep it out for 5 minutes.)
After 5 minutes by, put back on the CMOS battery. put it back all together. laptop battery the last one.
On the first boot you need to set the time and date. or by pass it by pressing ESC. >> If your Operating System goes >>> right click on clock task bar >>Adjust Date/Time >> set as you wish >> apply >> ok >>>RESTART your unit.
