Question about Washing Machines

1 Answer

I have no power to my washing machine - fuse? Motherboard? Power point is fine.

My pump was faulty (error code 37) so I called a technician to install a new pump. Next day, the pump was leaking and the machine was cutting out - called him again and he reinstalled it (I think). Two days later, my machine has no power at all.

The fuse in the plug has gone open circuit
check the circuit breaker in the fuse box of your home
sometimes there is a fuse on the plate on the wall

i think the pump is leaking somewhere around the hozes
blown a fuse or something similar
and you need to get back on to the engineer you payed
and get him to do the job right!!!!

web pages suggest that it is a water supply problem---no water coming in
check tap turned on and passing water( faulty tap washer )
check for power to water control solenoid ( solenoid failure)
check for power to solenoid ( program board problem)
call a technician for a proper diagnosis

Code 37 -

Hi,

To my knowledge, Error Code 37 on a Fisher & Paykel machine refers to "drain fault" which could either mean that the drain valve will not open or that the drain pump will not run. The easiest user intervention that could be performed is to check for any blockage/clog at the drain filter, drain pipe, drain pump impeller and drain valve.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.

Thank you for using FixYa.

Error 37

Hi Steve.Error code 37 means PUMP BLOCK ERROR.This means your pump is jammed or faulty or your control module is faulty. Please look under the machine for me to the front right. If you have the old style of pump you will see a fan.If there is no fan then you have the new type of pump. Please reply on which pump you have and I will guide you in rectifying this fault.Looking forward to your reply.

Code 37 on Fisher & Paykel Washing machine - water does not pump

Four main things are associated with this error: pump system, including the hoses; wiring; motor control module; and diverter valve. See the attached pages for details.

I can't seem to get any power to my Bosch Maxx Classic washing machine yet it was working fine when I initially turned it on. I have tried using other points to no avail. Can anyone help?

If you are in UK, check the fuse inside the power cord.

If the power cord is not fused, then you need to replace the control board, or fix a wiring problem, since this machine does not have any fuse in control board.
If you need to call a technician you can use the phone number listed on the owner manual.

Fisher & Paykel intuitive code 37

My machine is actually an IW811. But what happened was I checked motor see if it was spinning & confirm it was. But realised instead of pumping water out, it was going back into bowl, went straight to diverter valve, found control solenoid was burnt, was very hot to touch, even though hasn't been operating, only with main power point on. Suspect motor control board faulty as well. Replaced both parts & was fine after that. New contrl board has been upgraded & came with listings of all codes, explaining every code in detail. Specs to test switch, motor & solenoid resistances. But thanks to you guys for pointing me in the right direction, with what code 37 means in the begining.
