Pulling the AC plug overnight will probably allow any locked up circuits to bleed down.

this sounds as if the color wheel is going out. the color wheel cost between 120.00 to 200.00 dollars online if you have the technical knolage you could change it yourself or a repair shop will do it I would guess around 300.00 but thats where I live
