All I can tell you, is I am an employee of a Worldwide organization - and Worldwide we have this same issue - the provider has declared a [now] known issue & has to replace them - I'm guessing a firmware upgrade or something has screwed with them all. My location alone needs 20 replacing - Worldwide will be hundreds.

    Update - rumor has it, it's the security certificate which went out of date.

Why is my garage door opener beeping?

Hello, Debbie -

I hope you have the user manual for your garage door opener so you can check it to find out what the beeping sound means. If you don't have the manual, you can add the name of the garage door opener manufacturer to your question by using the Edit feature, so that I or someone else can look up information specific to that particular make of garage door opener.

Many instructions I have found for a variety of makes of garage door openers state that the beeping can mean the back up battery for the garage door opener needs replacing. See the information here:

Hi I have a viper 5701 it was working fine for about 2 years and today the car just stop beeping when I lock or unlock the car please help

Was this "beep" from the horn or a siren? The unit could be in valet. Look at the LED on the antenna. Is it on solid? If so the system is in valet. To remove valet, turn ignition on then off, press and release programming button on antenna.
If the LED is not on and, the "beep" came from the siren then, there is an issue with siren itself.

I have a DFI LanParty NFII Ultra motherboard. I had to move the power supply to a different machine and have purchased a new one to drive the DFI system (Win Power) rated at 650w. The power standby...

It's the craziest thing, I'm looking dead at the Motherboard Manual for the DFI LanParty NFII Ultra B motherboard, and the diagnostic LED lights are Not referred to.

Looking at the view of the System Board, the LED lights are shown down by the CMOS Battery.
LED 1, 2, 3, and 4.

The manual indicates only two types of BIOS Beeps are listed;

1) One Long beep followed by Three Short beeps.
Video error has occurred and BIOS cannot initialize the video screen to display any additional information

2) Single Long beep
A DRAM error has occurred. {Problem with the Ram Memory modules}

The BIOS program is a Phoenix - Award BIOS, but doesn't indicate what version or date.

[ The motherboard manual is downloaded for free from here,

http://productsmanuals.com/computer-manuals/dfi-lanparty-nfii-ultra-b-system-board-user-manual

Go to > To view the Products Manual - or to Download it - just click HERE.
{Click on HERE}

Allow up to 30 seconds for the file to download.

Offhand I would say it is Ram Memory that is the problem. Remove the ram memory module/s, and clean the gold plated contact pins with a pencil eraser, then use air to remove the eraser dust.

However, in looking up for information on the diagnostic LED lights, (The info IS out there. Maybe on DFI's support website, but I couldn't find it), I see that if you are using a graphics card that requires an additional power cable, you'd better have that baby plugged in.

The motherboard won't work if the additional power cable isn't plugged into the graphics card.

joecoolvette

Long beep and continue acer motherboard N1996.

1. Beep codes indicates that there is some problem with your RAM memory sticks installed into your computer motherboard.
2. For detailed information about the beep codes, refer your motherboard user manual as there are different kind of beep notifications for different problems.
3. Try removing the RAM from your motherboard, clean of any dust, replace it back to the motherboard and try starting your system. Repeat the step for atleast 10 times, until your system starts up.
4. If still the problem, persists, try replacing your RAM and try again as this will help us to find out if the problem is with RAM or not.

I hope this is helpful to you.

HOW TO CHANGE THE TIME ON HYPERCOM T7PLUS CREDIT CARD MACHINE

1) Make sure your terminal is on the main screen: “Swipe Customer Card”. If the terminal does not say this then hit the CANCEL button until it does.
2) Press FUNCTION, 10, ENTER.
3) The terminal will prompt for a password. Type in 0000 ENTER.
4) The terminal should prompt you to enter the date. Type in the date in MMDDYY format then hit ENTER. The terminal then prompt you for the time. Enter the time in HHMM format, in military time. For example, 3PM would be 1500.
5) The terminal should automatically go back to the “Swipe Customer Card” screen. Check to make sure the date and time have been updated (it should be displayed on the main screen). If they have not, then repeat these steps up to two more times to make the change stick.

Slow running washer

The beeping may be a code to tell you what the problem is, ie low water supply, overloaded, out of balance, etc. My user manual has a problem-solving page that explains the different beep sequences.

Foxconn P9657AB motherboard installation problem

You're Foxconn board uses the Award bios.
The long beeps you are hearing are telling you there is a problem with you're memory.
You're pic does not look like the Foxconn P9657AB-8EKRS2H MB as shown in the user manual. Found on This link.
http://www.foxconnchannel.com/product/Motherboards/detail_overview.aspx?ID=en-us0000297
The pic on Foxconn's site does but not the manual listed.
The motherboard uses four 240-pin slots with 1.8V for DDR2 memory only.
(Question? Did you're ECS MB use DDR2 memory)?
If you have more than 1 DIMM installed remove all but 1.
Move the DIMM into the closest slot next to the CPU.
Boot the PC & check for beeps. If still presant move the DIMM to the next slot & try again. Continue this through all four slots. Than try another DIMM. If the mother board continues to beep as mentioned than call Foxconn. (There is a bios update mentioned below for memory).
The CPU may come into question. (It’s revision). You may have to call Foxconn for this information. (580-272-0035). They do not place this information in their user manual. Most users have to call. The rev of the CPU may conflick with the memory causing you to receive the bios beeps. (I have had to return 2 boards for this reason). I picked an Asus board over Foxconn.
I have come across this with Foxconn motherboards these past two years. Suggest you update you’re bios. Foxconn has a revision dated, 3-28-2008 for memory before you call. After bios update test the memory again for beeps. Still there? Return the board is my suggestion.
It’s a guess that the red led will go away after the memory issue has been addressed. Normally there is a green led on most motherboards. This means standby. The board has power connected. I could not find any reference in the user manual * .pdf, for R450.

Good Luck ninjo61!
