Question about Televison & Video

Open Question

I have a Mitsubishi model # ws-65815 was working fine until it was taken apart so it can go down stairs, put back the same way very carefully, no boards were chipped or broken and all the wires are in the right spot but now I'm getting a green flashing light for 5 to 10 seconds then it goes out I push the power on and get a greenish/yellowish picture with red and green lines going a cross the screen the powers off after 3 or 5 seconds. Had any one had this problem or can some give me some repair tips? Oh this is a 65" diamond edition. Thanks to anyone who can help. Greg

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

The four cap replacement in DM module repair is simplistic
and incomplete, as you found out. ALL defective DM modules
have bad SMC's ( small "top hat" caps) AKA surface-mount
capacitors that can be changed only by the most highly skilled
bench techs. We used to change out hundreds years ago in
camcorder circuit board repair.DM board repair is a much more
accessible,thus more "do-able". For more info.............T.

SOURCE: Mitsubishi WS-65313 65 in. TV will no longer power up.

You should call a good TV Tech. This problem cannot be solved by a consumer. The one thing you might try is to unplug it from the wall for a few minutes and then try it again.

Try replaceing the DM capacitors that often cures that symptom. You can get the V26 DM repair kit from www.tvrepairworld.com the kit also contains the CD with detailed instructions.

How do I take the ws-65413 cabinet apart

IF it can you will see on each side of the cabinet two plastic caps (fairly flat) If they are there they pop out and under each of the four caps a L bolt, rotate it to left and top half of set can be removed from bottom, IF NO CAPS ON BOTH SIDES, IT DOES NOT HAVE THAT FEATURE.

I HAVE A MITSUBISHI WS65815 HOW DO YOU PROGRAM THE DVD TO WORK WITH THE TV?

You should not have to "program" it. If DVD is HD connect it to the DTV input on the back of the set--if not HD DVD unit connect it to one of the other COMPONENT inputs the set has---

Component will have RED, GREEN AND BLUE INPUTS, for picture plus a red and white for audio---Component requires 5 connections.

Once you have the wires plugged in so they are the same at both the set and the player--you use your input button to go to that input.

The set you have should allow you to put labels on each input which is helpful.

If this information told you something you did not know, rate it as very helpful as I do this here for free.

Clean/Tweak Rear-Projection MIT WS-65815

There are really only two things that need to be done for service on this set.

FIRST: with the set unplugged remove the back cover and wipe the three large black lens----a paper towel with glass cleaner sprayed on it works fine.

SECOND: WITH the original remote go into the customer menu and select convergence--select the advanced menu and use the remote to adjust--there will be instructions on screen to tell you what to do.

Some people pay 50 or more for a house call when for the most part it is a do it yourself thing.

Let me know if you have questions--I do this kind of work in my area----15 job.

If this helps you, rate this solution as I do this here for FREE.

Relocating tv

Yes, this set does come apart for moving. Remove the lower screw from each side of the TV back. On both sides, pull off the two plastic caps and remove the two exposed screw. Lift the cabinet top straight up until the guide pins clear the holes in the bottom cabinet. Be careful and don't drop anything.
