IF there is an E attached to the 45, it is your control board and the control board would need to be replaced. This is per the "Washer Tech Data Sheet"Hope that helps...

My name is Peter. I am a retired field service appliance technician.
Hi E61 means that the control board is sensing an incorrect/abnormal voltage present at its input.
1.) Unplug the unit for 5 minutes. If the error comes back -
2.) Lets check your power cord:
a.) Unplug the machine. Is the middle connector on your power cord connected to 'N'?
b.) Tighten all the connectors. Make sure you have a good ground.
c.) Check the voltage. Between 'L2' & 'N' = 110V, 'L1' & 'N' = 110V, 'L2' & 'L3' = 240V.
3.) Lets check your control board for shorts:
a.) The following link will show you how to access. Ground yourself by rubbing your hands on bare metal. Static electricity will knock out a board.
b.) Check all of the connections, push in on the wires at the connectors.
c.) Reassemble and try to start
4.) Well, if none of the above solved the problem, you have to replace the control panel.

Tips for a great answer:
Hello Murray Munger, thank you for your post!
I see that you are having difficulty with your Frigidaire washer stopping mid cycle and possibly not starting back up. From what you have described it sounds like a faulty control panel or wiring harness. You may want to have a technician come out and diagnosis your washer because he will have the appropriate tools to check and assure that the voltage going into each component is correct and if needed be exchange the faulty part. Hope this is helpful. -Matt

Hello Mary Fortner - It means that the washer has been paused; the cycle has been interrupted. Either the "Pause/Cancel" button or "Start/Pause" button has been pressed. To resume wash - press "Pause/Cancel" or "Start/Pause" once. If this does not prove to be successful please turn the breaker to the unit off for 5 minutes. Then turn the breaker back on to the unit, and retry the cycle setting again.
