Start up your laptop pressing F2 or whichever key to open the BIOS. Select Default setting, press F10 and enter. The BIOS is now reset to default.

Hello,

You need to remove the BIOS battery for a few minutes, then put it back on.
This will reset BIOS settings and cancel the password authentication prompt at booting.

How do i reset the bios on my acer 2313lci laptop. I used to be able to change settings in the bios menu but now i cant even laod the default setup.? I forgot my bios password at first and tried many times...

This method works only if you have access to the system when its turned on because this method requires MS DOS. Open Command Prompt from Programs menu and provide following commands one bye one:
debug o 70 2E o 71 FF
quit NOTE: The first character in the above commands is Englishalphabet "o" and not the number 0.

I cannot access the advance bios in my acer 4020

Usually, to access the BIOS, either press F1, F2 or F12 at boot (before Windows starts up). But please be careful with those settings. These settings are responsible for the order in which the computer boots so unless directed by the tech support agents from Acer, I'd advise not to change anything. If this helps you, please do rate me. Thanks

Full system restore of Acer TravelMate 2310

If you have th eOperating system disk, you can re-install from scratch - but that will lose your documents - so you should back them up to DVD.

Then install all the drivers you need from the Acer site found here,

If this helped you then please help me and vote kindly, thank you.

Having problems with my acer travelmate 4060

Get virus scanner/remover, and then try restore to a date when the computer was in full working order. If that does not work, try to backup valuable data files before original default factory settings, and get model-specific drivers etc from Acer and Microsoft websites.
