SOURCE: washing machine problem

Patrich, basket spinning while agitating has to do with the brake system. You either have a broken brake spring, defective brake rotor, defective brake liner or warped stator. There are special tools needed to perform the repair as the spring is under a lot of pressure and could cause injury if not experienced. Catriver.

SOURCE: belt fitting for a WF000 hotpoint washer?

It should go around 2 wheels; one is the pulley of the motor, where there is a good groove. The other goes around the tub wheel which is big one. First fit to the motor wheel then fit to one side of this big wheel & turn the wheel to engage it gently. The belt should have a "give" of only half an inch, or it will be too loose or too tight.

If helped pl rate.........

SOURCE: GE Profile WPRE6100G Top Load Washer. The hub nut loosens

You do not have a "high torque" motor (which would have required motor replacement along with these other parts).
Install a new hub washer WH2X1199, split ring WH2X1195, and hub nut WH2X1193. Inspect the hub on the inner basket for wear. If it is worn, the entire SS inner basket (WH45X10060) will also have to be replaced to prevent continued problems. If possible, tighten hub nut with torque wrench to 110 ft-lbs. I hope you did not purchase from Sears. (Sears sold machines are sold with NO FACTORY WARRANTY of any kind. For those, GE will tell you to call Sears.) If not from Sears, you may be able to get some assistance from GE customer relations if you need the inner basket. Your machine was manufactured in Nov. 06, so most likely was purchased over one year ago.
Note: If you look at the board on the top portion of the motor, you should see a LED light flashing on the right front side. It should flash about 1 second on, 1 second off (unless motor running, then .5 on, .5 off) Other flashes indicate various problems. To reset code if necessary, unplug motor for at least 15 seconds, then plug in, wait 3-5 seconds, then open and close lid 5 times within next 10 seconds.
If this does not rate a Fix-Ya for you, please don't bother rating, as I don't like to see my score drop after giving this much free advise.
Thanks.

Behind starter fly wheel only moves back not forward wil not start not start starter seems like its working spins

Disconnect the battery and then carefully remove the starter. Take the unit to a local auto parts dealer for a bench test. Starters have two separate functions, one spins the shaft to crank the engine, the other is called a bendix, which pushes the starter gear out to engage the flywheel, and then after the engine engages, retracts it (except in the case of starter/generator combo units which recharge your battery and power your vehicle's electricals while the engine is running) Always best to get a bench test rather than depending on apparent symptoms.

1992 subaru legacy starter wont engage fully and makes a loud grinding noise

Sounds like it is not toughing 100% and making full gear contact with the fly-wheel. Replace starter or the misalignment can burr the flywheel causing rounding and subsequent damage to the device.

The fly wheel gets stuck, but the engine is not siezed. Can removing the spark plugs and spinning the fly wheel fix the problem?

I think i understand what you are saying Mary. The flywheel is a gear with teeth that is bolted to the crankshaft. The starter engages the teeth on the flywheel to start the vehicle. If the flywheel has a worn spot on it where the teeth are broken. The starter wont turn over the engine and start the car. Putting a wrench on the camshaft pulley and advancing the the flywheel turning the bolt in the normal rotating direction . Should move the gear to a good spot where the starter will engage it. but the next time the car is turned off and the gear falls in the same position the same problem will result. If this the actual problem the only way to fix the problem is to replace the worn flywheel.

Flywheel or something grings against the starter when clutch is engaged

There is no way the ring gear will hit the starter pinion unless the fly wheel bolts on the crank shaft or loose allowing the flywheel to run out of true. If you have had clutch/ rear seal work done lately the fly wheel will only fit in one position and if that was ignored at some time then the fly wheel will run out and touch the starter pinion.. I would also check the adjustment on the starter pinion as it has to be set by the lever pivot to a correct distance or it will touch the teeth of the ring gear

Gear box goin in to gear but still like it is in nutural

If you select a gear without pulling clutch in it will grind and stall.
If you are certain the bike is engaging a gear and still seems it is in neutral, your clutch drive is broken.
Alternatively, the gear selecter fork bolts maybe loose behind the sidecover, allowing selector to partially engage only and return to neutral. Try selection thru' higher gears, place bike on a stand and turn back wheel in gear, if gears turn and motor doesn't...it is the clutch. If you cannot select a gear proper with rear wheel turning, your selecter is suspect.
Goodluck, and Cheers.

INSTALLED NEW STARTER , SOUNDS LIKE ITS NOT FULLY ENGAGING FLYWHEEL

if the starter is making grinding sound it not! however it could be loos and needs to be bolted up tight or there may be a bad power joint to the starter,, check for this also check all the earth leads off the engine to the battery, if its still grinding then its likely to be a dud starter you fitted,, the solenoid is not fully engaging the starter bog in the fly wheel teeth and it stopping short and then it spins up this is whats making the grinding noise, it can also make a right mess of your fly wheel ring gear,, so dont leave it to long to get it sorted out,

I cant find the starter inside my car.

The bell housing of your gear box is bolted to the engine. Either at the front or rear of the engine you will find the starter motor bolted to the engine adjacent to the bell housing for your gearbox. The starter motor has to engage with the flywheel to start your car and the clutch is also bolted to the fly wheel.

How do I fit a new transmition

Automatic vehicles does not have a flywheel, it is called a flex plate that is bolted onto the cranck shaft and onto the torque convertor.
The easiest way is to put the transmission on its tail standing it upright taking care not to damage the sael at the back and than slowly lowering the torque convertor down on the shaft turning it at the same time to make sure that it engages in all the different splines in the transmission.
If the flex plate is broken it means that something caused it to break, make sure the transmission is in good condition and not jerky when you drive.
Also make sure that the bolts that holds everything together is propperly torqued, loose bolts can also cause the flexi plate to crack and than eventually breaks
