GE microwave with error code of PF and won't heat anything up

The "PF" on any appliance indicates a power failure. So if you lost power in a recent storm, this would cause your problem. Pressing the cancel button should clear up your problem, and put you back in business. If not, unplug the unit, plug it back in and try the cancel button again. If trouble persists, your board is probably at fault.

Hello truepate - It varies if either the turntable or vent is constantly running. Depending on the diagnosis the unit could be experiencing a communication error with the control board or has faulty door switches. Try resetting the unit by unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker off. It is important to wait approximately ten minutes and then turn the unit back on. If the issue persists, then at this time I would recommend reaching out to a professional to assist further.

When turned off after cooling for 5hr. The outside unit buzzers as if a motor is running. it has gone on for 3hr. if I turn the unit back on it works OK just the outside unit seems to keep going.the out...

Do you mean after cooking for 5 hours? If so, yes. This is normal behavior. The microwave is running an internal fan to cool the components inside of the microwave. The fact that it has done so for 3 hours is a bit strange, but I doubt there is any issue with the inverter. Watch for errors. Error F33 or F34 mean an excessive heat build up in the microwave. Errors F81, F82, F83 and F84 mean that there is an issue with power delivery, such as inverter failure. While F86, F87, F88 and F89 represent shorted contacts within the microwave's boards and power supply.

Hope this helps,

Screen does not respond to touch

Does it beep when you push the buttons?

If it doesn't, your touchpad may be bad so you're unable to communicate with the unit's computer.

Error code

F6 is a communication error. It is either a loose connection to the control board, or the control board is shot. They should have diagnosed this when they came out to fix it. Open it up, and look for loose connections.
good luck
