Question about Hobart Lx30h Commercial Dishwasher
Turn the power off and back on at the main breaker. Hit the start button and the dishwasher starts powering up at the "HI" text in the display it changes to 23 and a constant whine can be heard from the machine. Everything is then frozen at this point. IE it won't finish powering up and won't respond to the on/off buttons. The only thing I can do at this point is use the breaker to shut the unit down. Any ideas on what to check for would be appreciated. Bob

I'm not a Hobart technician, but here what I founded in my manual for the LX30 error message:
LX18 / LX30 display shows E0, E2, E3 or E4
1. Low water pressure - check for clogged hose strainer; check that site water pressure meets minimum flow pressures.
2. Make sure probes are clean
3. No water pressure - main water supply valves may not be working
4. Drain valve open - turn machine OFF to drain machine, then ON. Repeat twice (this assists in clearing any drain valve obstructions). Wait for machine to reach READY mode and press WASH. Slowly open door several seconds later and note water level. Close door; 30 seconds later, open door slowly and check that water level is the same as it was. If not, repeat the OFF-ON procedure. If problem persists, call your local Hobart Service Office.
5. Delime machine.
Hope it will help you.

the reason according me this to be happend,is a short circuit somewhere in the machine,it could be the heater, solenoid valve or to be caused by any leakage, you may check the fuse and replaced if necesary, and if that continue you need a technician.

E-2 error is a fill problem. Water did not reach the lower probe within the time out. (innitial fill only
1- Is the bottom probe clean?
2- No fill water (check valve, hose, fill screen in end of hose, and fill source.)
3- low water pressure, should be 20 PSI flow.
4- Fuse 1FU blown.
5- Check wiring to fill valve.
6- Check relay board function.

DPS1 and 2 are fed from L1 and L2 directly.
RPS1 and 2 get their signal from a relay, triggered during fill or rinse. Check inside the control box for the machine schematic and component location. Check that the relay only powers during fill and rinse. Check for welded relay contacts.
Note. Soap and rinse dispenses are often spliced into AM14's in unusual ways, and with unprotected pump circuits. (no fuses) These can be too much current draw for the contact rating of the relay.
