What most likely happened is when you factory reset the device, the wireless setup that you use to connect to the Internet was reset as well. You need to go into the wireless setup area and look for networks to connect to. The one that you use regularly (assuming you are where you use the device), should be among those listed. You then tell the device to connect to the network. This is where the device will ask you for the network password if it is a secure network (and most are). Once you input the password, then the network router will assign an IP address to the device and connect it to the network. After that you can access the Internet normally. If you don't know or forgot the network password, someone in the household (or business) should be able to provide it so long as you are authorized to connect.
Did you forget the password used to unlock your Kindle? If so, you'll need to reset the device to gain access. By resetting, your Kindle will be restored to factory defaults, which means your registration information and content will be removed, and all settings will return to the defaults.

If you don't remember your Parental Controls password, you can deregister your device instead of resetting, as long as you're connected to a wireless network. You'll need to redownload your content, but items that were transferred via USB will be kept. Here's what to do:
1. Visit the Manage Your Content and Devices (www.amazon.com/manageyourkindle) page on your computer
2. Select the "Manage Your Devices" link
3. Select "Deregister" to deregister your device from your account
Sync your Kindle, then register again.

Hello,
I recommend that you load the factory default values. With this option you will eliminate any type of configuration that you have loaded. You will tell me the result, greetings.
Hi there! That happens to my child pad as well. I will tell you what I did. Well, I don't remember exactly but I know what the problem is. If it is usually when you just turned it on, its because your settings are set in a way that whenever you log on to it, you have to set the internet connection again. maybe this might help. I really don't know. But that is what I did, and now that doesn't happen to mine...and because I forgot the password. Do you have any solution on how what I can do so I can play on it again? Please share with me if you do. Thanks!! You can just email me at [email protected] Thanks!! :)
