Question about Whirlpool Cabrio WED7600XW Electric Dryer

1 Answer

Carbio Dryer Lint trap won't go back in.

The lint trap is stuck out of the machine and won't go back in its recepticle. It bumps against something preventing it from fully going back in. Any fix?

If its that kind that is curved slightly and drops in from the top then most likely there is a lose screw head sicking out blocking it. Most dryers the top comes off after removing four screws or so. Then you can look inside. If you have to get into the back though you will have to remove more but its mechanically very simple. Just a drum with a motor and a pully that has a timer. If it has the lint trap inside the door then your best bet is that something came loose and is obstructing it. Again probably a screw or piece of plastic.

I'm sorry to hear that a sock fell into your lint screen chute and I would like to assist you. Be sure to unplug the dryer prior to servicing it! Do not run the dryer until you are able to remove the sock! There are two ways to do this.

Forgot to put the lint trap back into LG Ventless Dryer DLEC855W. Clothing might have gotten stuck inside. Dryer now making grinding noise and drum is moving slowly. Is it time to call a repairman?

The filter simply allows the dryer air to pass through and trap the lint so it will not collect in the exit tube or on the outer vent parts. If anything, the clothes inside the bin will just spin around and be there when you finish. The noise inside the dryer could be from something that was in the pant or shirt pocket and was floating around.

My laundry room has tons and tons of lint in it. The dryer is emitting so much lint into the air. I clean out the trap in the front of the machine but there has got to be something I am missing.

Hi,
The hose is probably off of the dryer in the back....the lint should be exhausting outside and not into the room...they will always throw lint even with the lint filter in the dryer...
look for where the exhaust hose is unhooked at...

Cannot locate lint trap to fit my wsm2420 sazww washer dryer combo ge parts no will not fit

In the Kenmore equivalent, the lint trap is on the back wall of the interior of the dryer. If GE is the same then you'll see two vents at the back inside, one is the intake (where hot air enters), the other is the outtake, which contains a lint trap. You might have mistaken both for nonremovable vents. But one of them is removable. It should have finger holes or something to grab. Just pull it and it will pop out without difficulty. It's probably a two-piece unit (a grate on the dryer side and a screen on the exhaust side, with a space in between for collecting lint), which snaps or slips apart easily, then you can clear the lint, and then snap or slip it back together and just push it back in place in the dryer.

I can't put the lint trap back into the slot it is supposed to be in. Have been using this dryer all day. I cleaned the lint trap out and it still won't slide back in. The lint trap is on top of dryer....

You probably have lint buildup inside the machine. try reaching inside it with a brush or something to clean it out. Also, it may be dusty, but run it for a few seconds with the lint trap out. That may blow the obstruction out.

Smelled like something burning, then quit working

clean lint trap out more often after every load and try to vacumn inside lint trap lint tends to slip down below the trap and yes it will ignite from time to time My gas dryer did it once and yours it smoked and stunk but because I was home it never went furtherif you open bottom front panel if your machine has one you can get a lot of old lint cleaned out there as well...and most dryers post in their manuals the risk of lint fires

Lint is massing toward the bottom of the lint trap

please check your exhaust vent, where the dryer air comes out of the house, this particular pattern is very indicitive of a slow moving exhaust, you may need to clean the duct between the machine and exhaust as well

Plugged venting causing low heat and poor lint output?

you need to check the dryer vent hole on the back of the dryer, make sure it's not blocked, also check the wall vent for the same thing, most of the time if there is a clogg it holds the moisture in the dryer and it take forever to dry,you can use a shop vac to **** out any clogged lint in dryer and wall ,then if you have a leaf blower put it on the wall side and blow it it all out.let me know how you do-mike
