I lost instructions for an outdoor 6 outlet timer made by stanley.

To identify your timer for sure, look at following link:
http://waterheatertimer.org/Woods-timers-and-manuals.html#31217
If this is not your timer, then add a comment

Stanley timer information I've see on seller's websites matches the Westinghouse 28455 manual:
http://waterheatertimer.org/pdf/Westinghouse-outdoor-28455_TimerManual.pdf

If this manual does not match your timer, then add a comment and describe what you see on the timer display, and I might be able to help further.

You can also take advantage of fixya phone support.
Fixya expert will walk you through the steps for a price if they have instructions.
