SOURCE: 2001 mercury 25 hp will not go in reverse

Disconnect your shift and throttle cables, they may be reversed. See if the engine will shift now by hand. If it does not, then the problem was created when the shop benched the gear box and reinstalled it. Take it back even if it was last season. This kind of problem usually does not happen by itself.

Drivers side wheel bearing what do i need to do to replace it myself

Front - Remove tire, then remove brake caliper and caliper braket, remove brake rotor, some times will have little clips, remove clips, if they break ok, won't used them again, if 4X4 remove center axle nut, disconnect ABS harness, on back side of bearing, there will be three bolt's that hold hub bearing assembly, remove bolts, bearing should slide out, some time with a little help from a hammer, and your done , reverse to install new hub bearing assembly, just make sure that ABS harness is in same location that old one was when putting bearing in.

How to change headlight on 2004 Mercury

When you open the hood you will see a cover where the hood latch is. Some covers have individual doors on each side of the hood latch. If you have that type just pop the release on the cover and reach down to the headlamp bulb. It comes out with a twist with the socket and then pull the bulb free. Use a kleenex or gloves to install new bulb and reverse the process.

If the whole panel is one piece there are some plastic button holders to remove to lift the cover. Your headlights are underneath. In some cases the passengers side headlight may require removing the battery to access. Then just twist the socket and remove the bulb afterwards, then reverse process.

Changing tailight bulb

First open the rear hatch. Look just inside the door next to the rear lens assembly. There should be 2 screws that need to be removed. This should loosen up the assembly. Next gently pull the assembly back and out to you.Do not pull to hard or to far, you are still connected with wire. Next, squeeze the retainer and twist the bulb assembly ccw. You are there. Reverse it to put it back. Good luck.
