Question about World Heating & Cooling
Did you receive a heat disk along with the blower?
once the combustion chamber heats up enough, the heat sensor will then close, allowing the fan to come on

Testimonial: "Received a second blower from distributor and that one had a wire that had not been soldered (attached) properly. Didn't notice into installed and turned on. Immediate flash from gas heater. Waiting for refund."

There should be a set of metal cards attached inside the fireplace.
First you should read everything there.
I know you have to first light the pilot light.
And then there should be a wall switch.
The problem I have currently is that it won't stay lit when the artificial logs are there.

it is likely you have dirty O2sensor, it is incorporated into pilot assembly.turn unit off,use compressed air in a can and blow into spot where pilot flames comes from.this will fix it in most cases.in a small % of time entire pilot assembly needs to be taken apart and cleaned

If the blower will not turn off it could be several things. Certainly the thermostat would be one but it could also be a relay on the fireplace which powers the blower. My guess is the manufacturer did not run all the power necessary for the blower through the thermostat. More likely there is a relay or a tempreture switch on your unit which turns the power on or off to the motor using the thermostat as a reference. I would say that the relay or switch has stuck or burned shut and will not open. You will have to do some checking to make sure which part you need. A simple DMM will tell you if the thermostat is bad. Remove the leads from the thermostat and check continuity. Turn the thermostat up and down the DMM should go from infinity to a short if it is working. If it checks ok check the relay/switch in the fireplace next. I'm guessing that is where you will find the problem. Let me know how you make out and if you need anymore help.
