My light bulb went out in my dryer and I bought a regular replacement bulb from home depot and it doesn't work. Does my dryer need a special bulb?

Replaced bulb with standard 10 watt 120 volt bulb.

These bulbs are expensive.

Intermatic/GE 15071 digital wall timer - Connection Problem

1) GE 15071 (Tork SS20) is single-pole timer, and cannot be wired as 3-way timer
http://waterheatertimer.org/How-to-wire-timers.html
http://waterheatertimer.org/GE-timers-and-manuals.html#15071

2) Check wire nuts are tight
Remove light bulb and spray WD40 into socket. Reinstall light bulb

3) Reset timer using paper clip or tooth pick, then reprogram to see if functionality is restored

4) Move timer to different location and see if it controls different light

5) Buy another 15071 from home depot.
Remove bad timer, take photo of wires, and install new timer same wire-for-wire.
Return bad timer to home depot in new package.
This is GE's extended warranty plan, but do not mention warranty at return desk.

5) Intermatic and GE are fierce rivals in the timer business.
http://waterheatertimer.org/Intermatic-timers-and-manuals.html
Intermatic makes their own products. GE timers are generally made by Tork. Both companies sell timers worldwide.

I am trying to hook up my stackable washer and dryer. I havee a 220 plug 30a what do I need to do so I don't have to go back to home depot and get whole new plug in and plug?

If the unit has a 30 amp/220volt plug, then you will need a dedicated 30 amp outlet from a 220 volt line from the panel. You can not switch the plug to work with a regular (15-20 amp) outlet. Have an electrician install a 10 gauge 220 line from the panel to the unit. good luck!

Light kit has light bulb size that I cannot find bulbs for

Melanie, you must have gotten a bad batch of bulbs. I have installed over 100 Hampton Bay ceiling fans and I have dropped them from up the ladder and have them bounce across the floor with no damage. I think they must have allowed a substandard batch to go out.

Home Depot is where I buy my replacement bulbs. Hampton Bay make fans exclusively for HD.

You can easily change lighting bases, as the wiring is the same for all Hampton Bay. You may even appeal to Hampton Bay on the internet and they might send you the kits. But I don't think you'd have success in a store.

If you try replacing them with bulbs from another Home Depot you may find them much hardier. I wish you the best of luck, and if you need additional help please write back.

Light bulbs burn out after a few days in garage door opener, craftsman 1/2 HP double lights. have used every kind out there, specially made for garage doors, etc.

Try REVEAL brand DOUBLE LIFE ceiling fan light bulbs, available from HOME DEPOT. The filament in those bulbs is much thicker than any others, and the one I installed on my own Sears GDO has lasted 3 months so far, compared to one week for others I have tried.
