There could be an open fuse or a failed power supply.

TV keeps going in and out

Check the connections to the cable box, that they are nice a shiny and clean, and tight. Use HDMI connectors if you can.

Shut the box off overnight. Pull the plug on the television overnight as well.

Connect all back up. If it still does it, you need to disconnect that television and use another to see if the television is faulty, or the cable box / signal is faulty. Then you will know if you need to get the television fixed (Hisense as cheap budget sets) or the cable box, or cabling fixed.

What to I do if my TV got wet on the power cord but I am getting picture and sound before it cuts off?

If the liquid got into the TV and onto the printed circuit board, there could be damage to the circuit board. The fact that the TV had a reaction to the liquid is not a good thing. If the TV is still wet inside the problem will remain. If you continue to turn the TV on if it is still wet you might cause more damage. I would wait until the liquid is gone or dry and try the TV again. If the TV was in the normal position to watch, the liquid should run off and dry in a few days.

Left a dvd movie in player overnight - now have no audio.

Did you double check the connections from the DVD player to the TV? Maybe something happened to the connection overnight. If that dosen't seem to be the issue then the only other thing I can think of is that the Audio Encoding chip inside the player must have gone bad. The problem now is that it would cost more to repair the audio encoding chip then replace the whole player.

Sorry I couldn't help any further.

Thanks for reading!

Can not get a picture

Hi all

I had a similar problem with Coby dvd 7500 the screen was faint almost black but could hear the movie sound. I cleaned the lens as suggested but it didnt resolve the problem.

I tired to rest the player by removing the power supply cord and the battery for 30 mins as suggested in the manual but that also didnt work. What I did was left the player without battery and the power cord overnight and it did start working in the morning!!

This worked for me and hope works for you guys too...though I cant explain the reason as am novice myself. But give it a try as it really worked for me.

All the best.

Cheers

Lite in the front of the TV when you turn on keeps blinking and no picture.

Q510, Ta1316 is your sync processor and probably the problem you're having here. It's a common one for this unit and you could pull the board and check the solder connections it has with the foil - - but you may need to replace it...

My 42 inch plasma wont turn back on after power cut?

Hi,
We purchased a phillips plasma 50" in july 06 and it cut on and off 5 or more times a day I called phillips customer service they told us it was due to the cable company they came out and changed the tv jack gave us a new box and tested the lines said everything was ok. The problem still kept happening got back to phillips and they sent us a flash drive to update the info in the tv. still kept happening told us it was due to tv being sensitive to power flutuations. well we are now 5mths out of warrenty and the power board blows up! phillips will not do anything to help the person I spoke with admitted we were given bad advice the bill was estimated at over $500 so if I were you if its still under warrenty make them send someone out to look at it, Reading up on phillips tv complaints this seems to be a common thing By the way phillips customer service sucks dont rely on them to help you much. good luck

No HD picture from AV4 or AV3

You power supply has a problem in it. If the electric ever starts to go on and off again, you really should disconnect the main to the house or purchace a standby power supply for the TV set like the ones peeps use for their computers. They are inexpensive these days and they really do work and save lots of money. Now about the TV set. Without a service manual and the know how to work on solid state electronics and printed circuit board, you should seek out the assistance of a service person for this type of repair, unless you do know how to use a multimeter and read a schematic diagram. Good Luck PS Please dont forget to rate this thread.
