Why does top over get hot when only bottom oven switched on?

As part of the problem, also warm air is blown out of the ventilator between top oven and control panel. Checked controls.

Because heat rises. If you read the manual it suggests using the top oven as a plate warmer and place to keep previously cooked food warm when the main oven is in use.

It's not a fault it's a feature.

Thank you, but it does not explain why warm air blows out of the vent between top oven and control panel. I think its to keep the controls cool. The lack of insulation between top oven and control panel is a design fault. Much expensive heat is wasted heating a plate warmer when there are no plates while a cake is baking. A plate warmer should be switched on when wanted and off when not. A design fault. For air for pass between, is there a separate fan, or is air diverted from the main fan?

I'm sure the air emanating between top oven and control panel is intended to keep the controls cool. It appears to be controlled by a thermostat. When only the top oven is in use the air doesn't blow until the top oven has heated up to a certain extent. Whether it uses the main oven fan or a specific fan I can't answer. As to design fault or feature, I guess it's a matter of whose perspective you are looking from. The manufacturer, I'm sure, would class it as a feature.

Defy slimline eyelevel oven installed in cupboard.

Assuming it is an electric built in or built under oven, these are commonly fitted into a dedicated cupboard (oven housing) that matches the other kitchen units and typically little or no facility for ventilation is provided.
Electric ovens are usually so well insulated and covered with reflective foil the need for ventilation is minimal, especially when a standard size oven is fitted into the correct standard sized housing as it will provide an air-space of an inch or more all around.

It can be expected the housing near the top of the oven will become warm after a while and the shelf above likely to become warm enough to soften a candle but if it gets hot enough to actually melt a candle I think that is rather too hot. The addition of additional insulation and reflective material should improve matters greatly.

I suggest you approach the guy who fitted the oven if it was professionally fitted. It would have been his responsibility to only fit a suitable appliance and if additional ventilation was required he should have advised you.

I believe I have seen some oven housings with a slim grille over the oven and it is probable there would have also been a slot cut at the rear and perhaps a short piece of trunking to carry warm air away from the space directly above the oven.

Hot air blowing out at the top of De Dietrich oven, just after putting on new oven seal, fan seems ok what could it be.

Pending on the location of the oven (i.e. not where the seal is) it could be natural ventilation of the oven. Many ovens have ventilation underneath the stovetop.

Oven not getting hot

I would recommend checking the circuit breakers, assuming that there is a 230 volt supply for the heater elements. If that is OK you might have a bad heater element.

My heater blowing cool air want blow warm or hot air

check top and bottom hose for heat if the top hose hot and bottom hose cold the thermostats not opening,or you may have a leak from a hose or water pump, maybe only a small leak but that would cause the system to lose pressure and lose heat from your heater at worst the head gasket may have blown

Can you confirm if the top element should be coming on when selecting just fan oven? If had a look at the over selector switch all appears to be of ok with the switch selecting the top element as well as...

Correct, the grill element should not come on when using the fan oven.

Using the fan oven
The air inside the oven is heated by the
element around the fan situated behind the
back panel. The fan circulates hot air to
maintain an even temperature inside the oven.

HOWEVER

I think you are doing this

Using Hot Air Grilling
This function uses both the grill element and the
fan. Turn the function control knob to the
appropriate position. To achieve optimum
cooking results, it is advisable to place the oven
shelf in the middle position while the oven tray
should be inserted at the bottom.
IMPORTANT: When using the hot air grilling
function, set the thermostat knob no higher
than 175°C, which is between the 150°C and
200°C setting, to avoid overheating the front
of the appliance.
The door MUST be closed while Hot Air
Grilling.

What is the minimum distance from the top of oven to the bottom of microwave

It depends greatly on the ventilation but if you use 20" above the hob, as a good starting point. If you have extractor fans, maybe less. Don't forget the grill gets hot on top of the oven but there should be at least 10" clearence between the grill top and the microwave base, more if it is gas!

On a Amana EvenAir convection Plus oven the convection blower comes on during the regular bake cycle.

There is a blower on the top of the oven, which turns on when the oven is hot enough. If the warm/hot air is coming out from top vent corners - this is the blower working. Even if you turn the oven off at that moment, the blower will still work until the oven cools down. This is normal.

Oven and stove top not getting hot.

The most probable cause is that the heating elements are getting 110V instead of 220V. Check the voltage to the heating elements.
