Question about Panasonic Televison & Video
The sound is ok when watching dvd's the problem is when watching TV programmes, the sound gradually goes out of synch & to cure it you have to switch off the system & switch back on again. This cures it for a while but it eventually comes back again. I never had this problem with my old LG system, & am beginning to wish I had never bought it !!!

to see the dvd sound menu option you must be on the correct input selection for your tv. ie. if its Scart, then AV1, or if HD then HDMI 1 etc. then you see the options. as for sound being variable, you can adjust the sound for each speaker in this mode. Main thing for having surround sound with normal TV is to turn on the sound enhancement mode. also, on your viera link on the tv remote, make sure sound its selected as home cinema. word of warning, leave dvd on D-In option, and when turning the TV off, use standby mode, which turns both systems off, ensuring the link does not break.

An easy method to solve this is to plug your TV into your amp via an AV cable (red and white). Then simply select 'Aux' output on your amp and away you go. If you are worried about not receiving full surround sound from this, well not a lot of stuff that is broadcast is even compatible with 5.1 surround sound.

You can set the delay times for audio playback to correct 'Lip-sync' error caused by delayed video.
If the volume control is not used within five seconds, it resumes normal volume control function.
