Question about Televison & Video
Fault with its main board. Short circuited component/s at it. Contact any service technician; or the authorized service center. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ . In most cases, the main board might have to be replaced. If so, a software [firmware] update too might be necessary

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

The shutdown is probably caused by the power supply, although it may not be at fault, just trying to prevent a fire.
There may be other circuitry that is failing and drawing excessive current and most supplies are designed to turn off if the current drawn exceeds a certain maximum.
This is not a problem you can solve without technical skills.

SOURCE: Tv will turn on vizio
This is due to problems related to the power supply, have the PS checked for leaky capacitors, also you need to make sure its not just the back lights turning off, ususally when tv's today shut off they give and error code on the standby light, blinking and the number of times it blinks gives a indication of the problem area.

One of the inverter transformers could be blown too. You can buy them on e-bay by entering the number from the top of the transformer, It requires soldering. The bad transformer will be 'leaking' or will have burned the circuit board.
The problem I have had is that even after replacing the transformer, the over-current circuit kicks in and the same 'shut-off' thing happens. I replaced all of the blue 5pf 3kv capacitors with 5pf 6kv caps, and still the same problem.
finally, I just removed all of the blue capacitors by the transformers and now it works great!
Unfortunately, this bypasses the over-current protection and the set will not turn off next time a transformer has a melt down. Possible fire hazard.
be careful with this fix.
I would recommend not leaving the set unattended, and if you smell burning, turn it off.
Unfortunately, since the manufacturer was nice enough to shellac or leave a heavy rosin coating on the solder side of the board, it is really hard to test individual components :(

there could be several things causing this, most often it's a defective inverter, or a bad CCFL lamp. You could also have a problem with 24vdc output from the power supply, or "backlight on circuit from the main board. Get a proper diagnoses.
