How do i take apart the speaker to fix it?

Generally the speaker can be removed from the box by taking the Grill portion off. Some are attached with Velcro and some with plastic pins on the frame that are pushed into the box. If a speaker is set in place with glue, you can't remove it unless you rip it out completely by hand. Some have screws and these are easy to remove. The speaker wires may be short, so take care not to rip out wires with the speaker attached. When you did the speaker replacement, place the speaker Grill (Front panel) back in place and you are done.

Trying to remove grill cover on the panasonic easa16px86a1 speaker

They are not screwed on, rather - the whole speaker grill cover rotates to the right (clockwise) to release and come off. Do not pry it off with a screw driver.

How do I remove the cloth grill cover from the front of speaker?

Some speaker manufacturers design their boxes with non-removable front grills. Be thankful that you can remove the back because I've seen these sealed as well. Once inside, the speakers should be mounted from the inside (mounting screws on inside) compared to front mounted. IF they are not then either you're not using the proper method to remove the grill OR it's glued in place and will require breaking the glue bond to release the grill. One note to remember...non-removable grills can mean the manufacturer has something to hide.

How to disassemble ipod docking station Altec Lansing IMT702 Speaker system, couldn't able to open the back cover after removing all the screws.

Remove silver side trim via 4 hex screws. The button strip and bezel assembly then easily lifts away. Unplug the connector on the right end to completely free the bezel.

Slowly and carefully pry front grill off by using a tiny jeweler's screwdriver, starting from the corners, and working your way around the sides and top (where trim and bezel will hide any plastic and grill gouging). It takes patience, gentleness, and lots of time to do it without damaging anything that will be seen. Eventually you can use a long flat blade to pry under the grill along the bottom, and where it wraps around iPod dock.

Use a very small jeweler's flat blade to pry out the 10 screw plugs that were under the grill. There's probably no way to get these out without gouging them, but the damage will be less obvious once the grill is back on. I even think it looks better to not have replaced the plugs.

Remove the 10 phillips head screws that were under the grill screw plugs, and also the 4 screws that were hidden by the bezel. Note that the two screws close to the LCD display are longer than all the others.

You do not need to remove the two screws that hold the back battery cover, in order to open the main unit.

Pry the two case halves apart with your fingers, held from the edges that were hidden by the silver side trim. There are various connectors and their adhesive dampening goo that will keep the case from completely separating.

To allow the two case halves to open more, hinging from the top collection of wires, it's helpful to release the iPod dock from the front half of the case. First, make sure the iPod dock is unlatched and in the out position. Note the two plastic pins on the sides of the dock carriage, that float around and are actually part of the latching mechanism as they run in the slots on the back half of the case. These pins can be pushed in so they are flush with the dock carriage's sides, allowing the carriage to slide out through the front of the unit. Just make sure they are swung out of the way of the slots on the front of the unit, or you won't be able to keep them pressed-in flush as they make their way through the front of the case.

Open IM600 docking station to look inside player

YPMDesign is correct, but to get further into the im600 you have to peel off the cover that masks the LCD (it has Altec Lansing printed on it). Once done, it exposes 2 screws, and when removed you can pull open the whole thing, exposing the main circuitry. There is nothing that can be reseated though, as all appears soldered. There is one main board, which everything connects to, then the PCB at the bottom of the system, which has the power buttton and ipod dock connector etc. Unfortunately I have been unale to resolve my problem, where the Power buttton LED lights briefly if the battery is removed and reconnected, but getting nothing on the main display, and the power button is not responding at all when depressed. Mine is sadly bin bound..

How can i take the grill off my cerwin vega cls-12 speaker

Many boxes use friction fit male/female PVC mounts that simply pry apart.

Use an old credit card (or, if you have too many, one that still works!) and slide it in the crack between the frame and box and try prying it.
If assembled this way, it should only take moderate force to pry it away from the box.

Opening up Speakers

i it wood or plastic? if you cant easily pry the 'screen' in front off and there are no screws, your best bet is just to find a new speaker box to put new speakers in... only way to open it is to tear it apart, unfortunatly.. if you do decide to open it, CAREFULLY cut the screen off with a razor or exacto knife, once inside you'll know better what your dwaling wiht...good luck

Is there any way to take these apart?

If there are no screws evident on the rear of the unit carefully remove the grill on the front. Usually they are just lightly glued on. Most quality speaker enclosures open from the front and the speaker can be taken out for access to the wiring inside. If you cannot find any way in from the front look for some sort of plug or cover over screws. This could be on the back or under the grill. Sometimes they are covered with plastic covers which match the surface. If you do not have access any of these ways this could be a sealed unit which is not made to take apart. Good luck.
