SOURCE: Cannot set

Every battery replacement includes watch reset as well. If it was not done properly by watchmaker, then you are eligible for full refund and even can ask to fix the watch, as it was in working order before you gave it to jeweller.
This will not solve the problem, but at least it will make you feel better.
Next time you need the battery replacement, find the nearest watchmakers shop - not the jeweller. They are usually under one roof, but the trades are completely different and no jeweller can do the watchmakers job, as this takes years of learning and training.

SOURCE: Setting analogue time on a Crane & Viceroy Radio controlled watch

I haven't been able to locate your watch but since watches tend to be similar in operation, I suggest that you look at the instructions for my watch and try a similar settings.

Go to "http://ftp.casio.co.jp/pub/world_manual/wat/en/qw2735.pdf" and instructions for a Casio watch will appear. Go to page 4 and read instructions under "to adjust analogue time".

SOURCE: Unable to resent hands on

As you have not mentioned the exact model number of your watch. So the exact reset procedure to set hands, will be bit difficult to mention. But in most of the E.Howard radio controlled wrist watches this is the basic procedure-------- And about mentioned that time is not getting set after replacing the battery, for this problem i will say that is signal problem. You watch is not receiving the signal, so the time is not getting set. Many other users too face this same problem, that after replacing battery the time hands not getting set,but it starts getting set once the watch receives signal. In some cases it takes more time to receive signal.Press T1 and T2 together for more than 3 seconds then reposition the hands as described .------------------
The regular procedure to reset time is ,Select perpetual Date or Seconds on the LCD display merely by pressing the recessed button on the 3 o'clock side (notice there's no stem!). Or, press the recessed button on the 9 o'clock side to manually reset time when outside North America. ------ One more thing. After replacing the battery, you have to manual set the time by resetting the hands. But the exact time will not get started," till it gets signal from WWVB transmitter again." ------------------- The time you have set is retained until your watch is able to receive the signal from the WWVB transmitter again. The date will then also be set and displayed in the LCD again. After your atomic watch automatically receives the WWVB signal the watch will be set to Pacific standard time. You must then either press the T1 button to confirm the time or set the desired time zone.--------- --------------- Setting the Time Zone :-----The time preset by the factory might not be the correct time for the time zone you are in. To set the correct time zone please follow the instructions listed below: 1. Press the T2 button. The digital display will change from displaying the date (for example, 12.19) to displaying the current hour (for example P02 PM). The letter P, M, C or E in front of the digitally displayed hour stands for Pacific, Mountain, Central or Eastern standard time zone respectively. If no letter is displayed in front of the hour a different time zone has been selected. ------------ -Keep updated. This will help.Thanks.Helpmech.

I have a Geneve watch and need to change the battery. The case seems to have no way of opening it and seems to be one piece and I took it to the jewelers and they can't replace the battery. Is there any...

Of course, there is the way to change the battery, but for this you have to visit your closest watch repair shop. I do mean WATCH REPAIRS, not the jewellers. Decent watchmaker will definitely open your watch and will replace the battery. Your watch's case appears to be a monoblock. That means you'll need to lift the crystal first, pull the stem second and just then you'll be able to extract watch's movement for replacing battery. Do not forget: jewellers and watchmakers are under one roof, but their trades are completely different. No jeweller can do watchmakers job and vice versa. Rate me, plz.

I was changing my battery and one of the retainer screws flew away. Where can I getr a new screw?

I would call a jeweler. They often do battery changes and should have an assortment of different watch screws.

Greg it sounds like you should take your watch to a propper watchmaker. (qualified) Most jewellers are not well educated in regard to watches and their servicing.

Paste this link into your browser and download pdf file:

Read carefully about Radio-controled time keeping and other related chapters.
If after performing all the required operations your watch still does not work properly, you have some kind of fault in the Integrated Circuitboard and will need to seek for watchmakers help- probably an IC replacement.

Phillipe Stark PH1079 watch - Can't get back off to replace bat

There is nothing wrong with your watch. The problem is in tools the jewellers are using for opening the watch.
Despite being under one roof, watchmaking and jewellery are completely different trades and are miles apart. Jewellers usually are equipped with very basic watch repair tools and the case openers are no exeption.
You have to find your nearest watch repair shop and ask for watchmaker, not jeweller. Any decent watchmaker will have the right tool to open your watch and replace the battery in a matter of minutes.
