Is it a maytag? My maytag front load washing machine had 2 long bolts with plastic braces on them, to keep the drum still during shipping. Mine would bang and shake all over. I got the book out before I finally figured it out. I had to take the back cover off and remove the bolts and plastic braces over them. They look like they' 8 inches long or so. It works great now.

Your shock absorbers are problably broken and need to be replaced. Take off the bottom inspection panel by removing the 2 screws on the bottom of the panel and pull the piece down and out. Then take a look inside the machine in the bottom middle on both sides. There should be a shock absorber on each side and these are plastic. Check to see if they are broken at either end and if they are, go to your local appliance repair shop and buy/order a new pair. The new ones are slightly upgraded by making the body out of metal and the rest out of plastic. Instalation instructions come in the package as well as a pair of new absorbers. Hope this helps.

my first suggestion is to get your money together cuz either way it's gonna cost alot. Touch the drum in side the washer and check to see if it moves around. If it does then you probably need a new drum and bearing job which is usually pretty pricey to repair. It an overhaul of your washer.
