Question about Dynex 32 in. LCD Flat-Panel HDTV
When the tv is first turned on it has a good picture and a second later it has white vertical lines. we tried to vacuum dust off the tv after removing the back
The very first thing you should try is switching out the video cable you're using. If that doesn't work, you should use the same cable but attach it to a different device (from the DVD/Blu-ray player to a laptop or something). If that doesn't work use a different cable and attach it to another device. Finally, use the original cable on a different tv AND a different device. What this does is prove if the cable is good/bad or the device you were originally connecting it to was good/bad or if the TV's video port is potentially bad. If the white lines move to the other tv you're testing it on the problem is with the video cable (I'm assuming HDMI?). If the white lines are only present on the original TV after verifying the cable was good your TV is the problem.
