Question about JVC Car Audio & Video
Pressing the open/close button has no effect. It would appear that something is jammed.
That was probably cool in 1979. It is in need of maintenance. A decent local tv repair shop could fix it for you, but is it worth the repair? Jvc stuff is all plasdtic and rubbber.

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

I have my manual here.
"Turn on the system and enter CD mode. While pressing the stop button on the unit( the little circular button with the dark square), press the CD Open/Close button on the unit. 'UNLOCKED' appears on the display."
Hope this helps.
