Question about Televison & Video
It is new I plugged it in after about 5 hours I checked and turned it on but all I get is a blank screen no picture
Do you have a video cable (HDMI, DVI, or VGA) connected between the netbook and a TV? If so, unplug it and see if that restores your picture. If not, look for the icon on or near the number row at the top of the keyboard where you can change your display output. It usually looks like a computer or monitor on the key. Press it a few times and see if that helps. If this doesn't do anything, have you tried restarting by holding down the power button for 5-6 seconds? This is called a hard shutdown. When press it again to start the netbook do you see anything on the screen at all in the beginning and then it goes blank right before Windows loads? Or does the fan stay real loud and nothing ever comes up on the screen at all? If it's the first scenario where something does comes up but Windows doesn't load you may have a video driver issue. You need to start the netbook and continuously hit either F8 or F10 to go into SAFE MODE. Then choose the start in SAFE MODE option and perform a SYSTEM RESTORE to roll back your current settings to the last known good configuration. If the second scenario comes up where nothing at all comes on you could have several problems: the screen is dead due to a fault or loose internal cable, the video card is dead or damaged, or your motherboard is dead or damaged. These will require warranty repairs or professional repairs. Do you hear any beeps when you restart? These matter if you do. Listen for short and long beeps and write down their pattern. They will tell you what is wrong based on your computer. For instance two short beeps followed by two long beeps sometimes means bad RAM.
I hope this helps! Let me know if I can be of further assistance.

You have an AC resistance problem on the interface board. Passive components such as silver mica and electrolytic capacitors are not charging and discharging properly. This causes a delay or disruption in the start-up process. Byte signals are weak and intermittent due to other thermal components failing such as 'diodes, smd mosfets,...etc...''' Believe it or not this happens from manufacturers using 'inferior-grade' circuit components that fail under considerable load conditions. By replacing a few parts with better quality parts will solve this issue for you. To replace these parts requires removing the back cover and using some test equipment. If you can get someone who is technically proficient I can e-mail them instructions on how to fix this problem on the circuit board.
Let me know if you want to follow up on this...

SOURCE: Green Screen
Hi, how is the cable box hooked up to the TV? Is it HDMI cable or componet (red/green/blue) ? When you say totally green, do you mean the the picture is only green with the other colors missing or every color looks green ?
