Try ebay use "audio amplifier board" as the search term. Most of what you find will be 25V or less.

I have a Rolland guitar amplifier and the speaker is polling, can I replace this 12 inch 8 ohm speaker with a high Fidelity 12 inch 8 ohm speaker.

You can try another speaker given the rms is the same as the original......or the wattage.....If you get the same results sound wise after replacement......you might want to consider buying something else.

you have a defective audio amplifier IC and must be replaced, likely cause is the shorting out of the speaker terminals, on the main board you will find a IC mounted vertical attached to a heat sink, flowing the speaker trace from the speaker connector may help to locate this IC, once you have found it you can obtain the part number from it and contact a local electronic pars supplier for a replacement, after you have the replacement and it is installed make cretin that there are no short circuits are in your speaker connections external and internal with an ohm meter. also you should check the speaker impedance is within tolerances of the tv speaker output impedance.

Hi y does the protect indicator come and and i am not able to hear anything? How am i able to eliminate this problem?

It is possible that the amplifier had encountered a fault with a higher current drain which had triggered it to a protection fault condition. The fault can be your output drivers- the MOSFETS/IC's fitted for both the channels, Use a meter after disconnecting to check for short in the drivers. Disconnect the positive and negative voltages to the output and see if the protect changes. Even a fault in the preamp stages that drives in high current into the output can shut the Amplifier. Sometimes this can be a noise like a HUM or HISS before the protect works. Faulty capacitors in these circuits also can cause similar issues and needs close observation.
You need to confirm and replace the specific stages or outputs. If not there can be issues in the mother board, maybe the protect circuit by itself is shutting off due to a faulty bias , maybe a leak in any voltage/current sensing circuit. Also disconnect the speakers and test, if the protect is off then check for short on the speakers.

I have a Denon PMA 500V amplifier. all of the output fuses were blown so I replaced them but the unit still doesn't work. Any suggestions?

hi.
Did you checked balanced impedance?load speaker impedance vs PA output?or PA might over driven, causing a trouble on the pre-amp to power amp circuits and components damage,
need to recheck related components on the pre-driver up to main output section,

Note: That, blowing of fuses with the same rating is an indication of trouble/shorted in a circuits that driven on it,

Thanks and good luck

Hotrod amp is distorting on the clean channel once it goes past 3,is it a speaker problem or is it tubes?

to rule out the speaker, you could try one of 2 things.

1. remove the speaker from the cabinent and gently push the diaphram in 1/2 an inch to 3/4 an inch, as far as it will gently go- BE GENTLE. the speaker should recess and return to normal position smoothly, without any scratching or rubbing, or internal resistance., the only resistance should be from the paper cone itself, not internal to the speaker. if there is any rubbing or scratching from the inside (inside the area surrounded by the magnet), or any changes in resistance (not smoothly moving) as the speaker goes in or out, then the voice coil is damaged.

2. find another speaker of suitable wattage and ohmage, and disconnect the hot rod's internal speaker, and hook the replacement speaker up in the internal speakers place. a speaker of 50-100 watts should be suitable, and it will probably need to be 8 ohms- a standard bookshelf speaker may be suitable if it is a suitable wattage and ohmage rating (stamped on the back of the hot rod's speaker magnet and/or on the back of the external speaker/cabinent as "8ω",) do not, and again, do not, under any circumstance disconnect or connect a speaker while the amp is on, or even plugged in. touching the positive and negative speaker leads together, even briefly, while the amp is powered will fry the amplifier circuit, and you will smell it!!!

You should look at the circuit board for the power amplifier and check for any leaking or bulged electrolytic capacitors. If this speaker uses the circuit boards made by AMI (such as most JBL and Mission sub woofers around 1999-2001 vintage) they had a lot of problems with this as well as bad modules. Google for the module S53AMI and you will find lots of info if this is what you have in that Athena.

I have no sound at all

Have you checked that sound is coming from the computer? Make sure you don't have the output muted and that your volume is turned up. Check the output by plugging in a pair of headphones or another speaker system. If that's all normal, the problem is in the speakers.

The speakers aren't actually a part of the monitor although they do hang on the sides. Check that the audio cable from your computer to the input jack on the right speaker is plugged in at both ends. Check that the power adapter is plugged into a working AC outlet and that the power plug to the speaker is firmly seated. Does the power indicator light when you turn the speakers on? Is the volume control up? Those AC adapters sometimes do fail. The adapter is replaceable if it's gone bad (you can find a suitable one at Radio Shack).

If everything else is checking out and the speakers still have no sound, the amplifier integrated circuit has failed. While this could be repaired, you can probably buy a new set of speakers for what a service shop would charge to replace the amplifier.

How do I open a fender passport 150 speaker cabinet?

There are screws running down the sides of the front panel which you will have to remove. The circuit board is secured to the front panel by the nuts, washers etc. that the controls and jacks are fastened with. Once you get the panel; loose gently move it forward so you can see any connections to the circuit board. Make careful note of all of these and draw diagrams. You will have to completely remove the panel from the enclosure and then the circuit board from the panel. The jack in question will be mounted on the circuit board and soldered to it on the reverse side. You will need to unsolder it, obtain an exact replacement, solder in the replacement and replace the board on the panel and the panel back in the enclosure. Make sure everything is connected exactly the way it was originally. Hope this helps.
