Question about Musso Ice Cream Makers
I've tried cleaning the stem, oiling it, boiling water in the bowl to loosen the stem, unscrewing the screws on each end of the top so it will lift off and I cannot seem to budge the blade stem that seems to need to be removed so I can lift off the top and get into the machine where the switches connect.
Try using ice. It will shrink the part slighty enough to pull it out.Boiling water will make the the parts expand. If you use oil, use a penetratig oil only. Spray in the oil, have a beer, and the try to pull out the stem. Do not use heat. Hope this helps.

Testimonial: "The real proble is that I actually have no idea how the machine goes together in the first place. Is that central stem just pressure-fit or does it have threads under there? What do I do to get it all apart? Is there any site on the net that will tell or show me how to take apart a Musso Stella in order to repair it? Thanks for any help"
