That should be in the instructions that came with the thermostate. If it does not show how then you need a different thermostat.

How to hook up becket oil furnace

On the top right hand side of the burner is the controller, on the right side ther are 4 contact screws, closest to the fire are the thermostate wires dosn,t matter which one goes where, two from thermostate go on these two contact screws. The two contact screws far away from the flame are for the two wires from the cad cell dosn't matter which one where. All that is left is 120 volt ac power which shouldn't be hard to see where they go.

Where can I get instructions for thermostat replacement in Tefal FV8225 steam iron

I suggest to remove the bad thermostate and try to buy a similar one. First remove the scew which fix the thermostate on the iron base. Then carefully disconnect the two wires and mark them in order to connect correctly the new one. I used to make a litlle sketch.
But before buying a new thermostate, you should test the thermic fuse (a small component placed into a thermic "sleeve" and fixed with a small brace screwed to the base) as when the thermostate jams this fuse burns out, giving a second protection.

I replaced the thermostate on unit and now it will not run. I replaced the old thermostate and unit will not come on. it was working before so it must be something I did in the wiring.

Hello IDHILLIS I hope you were carefull to label/remeber the colors to termnials.Check that you installed a jumper wire between RH/RC termnials.Try that.Give me the wire colors & termnials as it is now if that is done already.

As soon as i hook up the thermostate it flashes the 3 flashes code and i have already tryed a new thermostate .... as soon as i unhook the thermostate it flashes for normal operation with no call for heat...

Try using it without the thermostat, tie the two thermostat wires together or put a jumper between
r and w. If furnace operates, you must have wrong style of thermostat

Marley md26 line voltage thermostat

The Black Wires from the md26 are your load(the heater) and the red lines are your line(power). The lines are also paired up on the thermostat with a red and black on the left and are red and black on the right. In the actual heater connect the black to the black wire and the white to the white and connect the grounds. In the thermostat connect the black from the heater to left side black( remember there are pairs left(black, red) right (black, red) and the white to the right side black connect the black from your power to the left side red and the white from your power to the right side red. Should be ready to go.
