I think the song was published in 1971. However, that is as far as I have gotten tracking it. Thus far, I have not found the lyrics to Sometime nor a site that identifies an album upon which you could find it. There are sites that do provide other audio samplings of other of his songs. Sorry.
In the beginning he created the groove
And with the groove he made us move
And he made you reach out
And raise your hands in the air
To rejoin us and sing a song of love
Sing a song of happiness
Happiness
Everybody's moving to the beat
Music makes me wild and move my feet
I see, I feel the need to get away
From the pain and pressure of the day
the dj comes to my rescue
and through the beat you gotta move, too
The people's screamin'
gotta love , I love
Singin' mister dj
gimme more
Hi There, There are several audio programs out there that will mute vocals from songs for you, though these programs are fairly expensive and not justifiable if only using one feature. Your best bet would be to buy the music pre-muted, also known as "instrumentals". Check itunes for your favourite songs as instrumentals.
I would suggest you to use a headset (without mic) and play the karaoke for them so that they can listen the music through the headphone while they sing. Connect the mic on the mic plug on your computer and record the songs they are singing with rhythm of the karaoke using an audio editor like Audacity or Adobe Audition and similar softwares. Suppose if you play the karaoke on your speaker, then the music will be heard from the mic and it'll be mixed up with the songs he/she is singing. For best result, Record the sound/songs and save it as different file and mixdown the karaoke file with it later. Otherwise, you'll not be able to get good songs. Please let me know if you need further help.
Good luck.
