SOURCE: Compressor starts and doesn't stop

Relay for the compressor may be stuck ( Contacts welded) both the fan and the compressor should operate at the same time. Have the relay(s) checked and possibly replaced.

SOURCE: with ac running cold, blows warm when truck is stopped

I have a dodge 2007 ram 1500...most likely its an RPM issue. The compressor requires a certain RPM to maintain the required pressurized vapor.

SOURCE: AC Fan doesn't blow cold air, frozen coil noticed outside, resetting power resolves temporarily

You need to call a reputable service technician.  The freezing up usually is associated with a low refrigerant charge or low air flow.  Check your return air filter and replace as needed.

Why did SPT Portable Air Conditioner stopped blowing cold air?

Unit needs to be taken apart and washed out , also check to see if motor turns freely by hand , clean base of unit fans / blowers and drain ports / channels . Check outdoor motor to see if bearings are tight or fan overheats and cuts off if so replace outdoor motor .

My central air conditioner is making a whistling noise in the inside unit when the compressor is running. It's not the blower because the noise stops after the outdoor unit shuts off. It's also not blowing...

Hello,
If there is no cooling (meaning no cold pipes and not blowing cold air) then check the outdoor A/C for any visible/obvious issues; breakers not tripped, no debris blocking the outside unit from passing air through it, etc. If all looks ok, you can start checking some things inside of the unit if you feel comfortable doing so. Also, most indoor heaters have a higher speed/rpm for the fan when the cooling kicks on, and the heat runs on a lower speed/rpm.

Hope this helps James

Frigidaire Side By Side Not Cooling

That sounds like the start relay is buzzing. Unplug and lets check the compressor to see how hot and if too hot to hold your hand on the top of compressor we need to leave it unplugged until we find out if the start relay, start capacitor, overload or if the condenser fan stops after running a short while. Hey, I have a goodman cple30-1 that won't "kick on" it just lightly buzzes when the fan should start moving The inside fan works fine just no cold air.. thanks Im trying to save the $150 house call

What exactly is buzzing? is the compressor running without the fan? It may be the contactor buzzing and if nothing is running this may indicate that the breaker is tripped as the control voltage may be coming from the indoor unit. Let me know what you find out

Air conditioner not working

This is simple , turn your thermostat to fan only and not auto fan and see if it runs, if does then run it like this till a service man arrive, the fan motor for cool is gone out!
