Hi! It seems it is not the heating element! It seems to be before that. Either a short circuit delivering to much current thus causing the blow. I would check the corresponding cable all the way to the circuit and the circuit elements corresponding to the oven element. The grill and oven elements being "independent" explains why grill still works. (A short circuit seems quite possible to me!)

The grill on my Hotpoint EW 41 Electric freestanding cooker has stopped working after my wife put aluminum foil into the grill pan which then touched the grill element causing it to 'blow' and so...

The grill element should not 'blow' by just touching it - it should be earthed. The elements do gradually disintegrate over time & the inside wire element either fractures or touches the element casing causing the mains to trip. Sometimes this makes it trip just once & then stops working. Replace the element - not usually any fuse in circuit with this. Often held in by 2 screws adjacent to the element at back of oven and conections via Fast-ons- Rick

I have a Teka oven HI-595 that shows power, fan works and grill works but oven won't heat up. What should I do?

If the fan is working o/k, then it is probably the oven element that is faulty, usually located at the rear of the oven compartment behind a removeable cov er.

Teka h e 500 oven wont heat up....

If the fan is working o/k then the oven element is probably faulty, this should be at the rear of the oven behind a removeabkle cover.

I have a baumatic bc3510ss double oven. everything works fine except the large oven. you can turn on the grill or oven but when you turn on the temperature the rcb blows on the fuse box.

Tthere are a couple of possibilities for your prob, the thermostat, or the oven element is faulty.
Disconnect the oven element, and try it again, if it does not trip, replace the element, if it still trips, replace the stat.
Please rate my solution.
Thanks.

Teka Model HC-595 - oven does not heat, fan working ok grill working ok

Sounds like the fan element has blown. I think access is from inside the oven at the back BUT the screws to undo the element are accessed by removing the rear cover. You will have to take the oven out of the cabinet to where is is fitted to do this and from memory there is an earth tag which is fixed to one of these screws

Fan oven not heating, bosch hbn 202t

the fan oven element is separate from the grill element. the problem is that the circular element round the fan is blown. remove the back panel of the oven and you will see the element. replacement is easy. on most bosch, the element is removable from inside the oven but for some you have to remove the oven and take off the back casing
