Hi all, Not sure who to ask! Symptom: TV turns on ok from 'cold start'. After about 30 minutes, the picture goes out. Sound is still there, ie we can change channels and everything appears to be working except the picture is black. The tv must be turned off and allowed to sit for about 30 minutes before it will work again. Seems to be a thermal issue. What I know: I've taken the back off the tv and watched it fail. The white lights, I'm assuming back light display, that I can see through the sheet metal frame all turn off at the same time when the picture goes black. Questions: 1. I'm assuming this is the back light display driver pcb. Any way to confirm? 2. Is there a schematic that exists of this tv so I know which part to replace?Just knowing, for example, that is the LCD driver card does not help me so much since I am not sure what card it is? Thanks in advance!
Back - light problem. Check and replace damaged component/s at its back-light inverter board, or replace this board as card basis. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. It will be best to replace the inverter board as card basis.

Thank you so much for the comment. I replaced the entire LED driver board (CMO 2G-D081412 (L390H1-1EE) LED Driver from Shopjimmy.com) and the same issue occurs. I did notice that, after about 30 minutes, when the picture quits, I can restart the TV, and the light/picture work for about 1 second. This continues until I let the TV rest for about an hour. Then it will work again for 30 minutes. Any other ideas? I am not an electrical expert but willing to try anything.

snow basically is a symptom of weak signal.
as you say it becomes ok after 5 minutes or so there no question of any components gone wrong except loose or print intermittent
please check.
1 input weak like cable or antenna or loose wire from the source..
2 in tv antennae socket loose.
3 near tuner any thing loose or track loose.
4 cable wire might be old.

I have a KV-27V55 and when I turn the TV on the picture and sound is good for about 30 minutes and then the picture goes off, but the sound is still on. It will come back on after a while. What do I do?
