My attached 8 gb Kingston in neither opening not formating by window? Pleasse help me to format my usb

My attached USB Kingston 4 GB is neither opening nor Formating, if I can be helped, either to open it or to Format it for my further using it. Thanks

Theoretically, you can't format a more than 32 GB drive with FAT/FAT32 file system. In your case you have to choose the NTFS file system to format your 64 GB USB flash drive. However, if you really need to format it with FAT32, you got to use the command line or a third party tool. Hope this is going to help you.

I would say do a firmware wipe but seeing as you have no access to the drive at all I would say your probably SoL and in need of a new drive

Try re-formating the Pen Drive. Also check your USB and HUB drivers in Device Manager

you have to see in witch format is the stick mostly is FAT32 but normaly you dont need to format just when is some video on it,from my experience reinstal the drivers and i mean all.

Can't Reformat Kingston DataTraveler 2.0 USB memory stick


Use any linux bootable distro, like puppy (100 MB ) Slax ( 200 MB) or ubuntu to make a live boot, or use any pc which has linux installed can format your USB to its full capacity.
