An old credit card can be used to go around and separate the pressure fit after you get the to back to start to open. That way you will not scratch the housing.

Vizio uses pressure fit components. You are going to have to flex the back at a weak spot where the back meets the front. Once you've gotten it separated a little then you can use a very thing screw driver or even a popsicle stick. Go all of the way around the back until it separates from the front. It is not easy, but it can be done.

I have a Vizio M550VSE tv and for the life of me I can’t fighre out what’s wrong with it. The issue I was having is the screen would just flash when turned on and then go black. It pssed the flashlight...

It could be a bad connection that shows up when the screws are tight that hold it together. Put one screw in, test, next screw, test, etc till you find the one causing the issue.

How do I take odd the back of my Vizio tv Mfc 550 m

Some of these Vizio tv's suggest the use of a "spudger" which is a plastic pry tool that when inserted in between the back and bezel, release clips that hold the back on.
You may, carefully, use a thin utility knife (not a razor blade) to gently wedge the bottom edges apart first. Usually once you release one of the clips, the rest come apart more easily. Some of these clips require you to push inward gently to release them. Start from the bottom in case you mar up anything trying to figure out the best way to wedge the unit apart.

How do I remove the back cover of Vizio?

Hello, first you must remove the center section of the back cover. there are 2 screws at the bottom of it, and a large screw in the center a couple of inches from the bottom. When those screws are removed, slide the center section down ward towards the bottom. All of the main components (power supply and main board) are exposed. There is a screw in the center bottom that will need to be removed as well . If you have all the other screws removed, the back cover should be ready to remove.

I have a 3 year old 46" Vizio TV vw46l fhdtv10a that started having some shading in spots for minutes at a time. After some research I came to the conclusion that changing the T-con board was my best...

Its under the metal frame at the top of the set, follow the LVDS cable, the thick one coming out of the main board to the Tcon will need to remove a couple screws to get the cage off that is over the board

Need screw specs to attach base assy to tv

Hi there, if you are trying to just remove the base, then on your model there is one screw in the center of the underside of the base. If you want to remove the neck of the base to then remove the 8 screws on the back of the tvs neck too. I hoped this helped, please rate thank you!
