Question about Necchi Sewing Machines
I push on the peddle to sew, and the motor turns but it doesnt move the needle.
It's possible that the sewing machine may need a adjustment or a part could be broken, the machine should be checked

Make sure the handwheel has not been released as you would to thread a bobbin. Check to see if the center part of the handwheel is tightened. One way releases the handwheel, the other way tightens it.
It's also possible that your machine has not been cleaned and oiled for some time and things are stuck. Get some good sewing machine oil (or even liquid Tri-Flow Synthetic Oil), open the top of the machine and put a couple of drops of oil every place where metal rubs on metal. Also, do the same in the bobbin area.

The clutch has fallen off the shaft. Remove the very small screw in the clutch release screw to remove the clutch release. Place the clutch(round thing with ears on it) back on the shaft with the center ears pointing towards the outside. Put the clutch release screw back on. Tighten it to make sure it works
properly. Put the small screw back in the clutch release screw and test it again. If it will not tighten or release properly, remove the clutch ,rotate it180 degrees and try it again. This should solve your problem.

It may be in bobbin filling mode. Can you turn the inner circular on the hand crank. If you can click it into position, this should engage the needle mechanism.

SOURCE: sewing machine no movement
I know what the problem is. Its a cracked gear. When you have the top open look at the big fiber gear on top. It is common for these to crack and now it is stuck. Needs a Bernina service guy to replace it. There is one more smaller fiber gear near the handwheel inside that could be cracked also.
