Of course it does! Either it has a USB charging port, or has a battery of some type to maintain the charge - go to the manufacturer web site and download the user manual.

SOURCE: it wont power on?

It's probably the capacitor, or the pushbutton energizer.

It's really easy to dis-assemble this unit, and it works really well for a $100 night vision scope.

You can replace the pushbutton with a toggle switch from Radio Shack.

Hello, is the IR glowing red, don't look into the IR lens. Just place your hand in front of it and see the is a red glare on your had. If there is a red glare then IR is work.
Another thing when you taking a look see through the Night owl NV monocular there should be a green glow from the image intensifier tube, if not, then the NV monucular isn't working properly. stewbison

My night vision scope will not turn on. My LEDs work but you can not see anything in the lens. Yes the cap is off. I tried new batteries. It has very few hours of operating time. Help!

Hello, Welcome to the world of Russian night vision system. That is right, Night Owl Optics Cyclops NOCC3 is manufactured in Russian. The biggest problem with these monocular and binoculars and even scope is that they use cheap 1st generation Russian image tubes and everything else. It would be cost prohibitive to have it fixed, that is, if Night Owl Optics will fix it for you. Hint: Auction it on Ebay as night vision parts. Sorry, GB...stewbison

Nightvision stopped working when a light was turned on

Unfortunately the old Cyclop is no more. Repairing night vision is very expensive. There are newer better models available for the cost of the repair if it were possible. Yukon make a great monocular the Seawolf. I still have a Cyclop but the Seawolf kills it for view and quality and its waterproof.
