If the heater has not been serviced in the last 1 or 2 years then there could be an accumulation of lint, dust and debri in the burner and pilot assembly or the burner air mixture may need adjusting.
Have a service performed on the heater to have the lint, dust, and debri removed and also have the burner gas pressures checked and set to manufacturers recommendations.
It is also a good idea to have the unit serviced at least once every 2 years.

Cozy gas wall heater won't ignite, pilot light is on

There are two types of igniters, spark-type or glow heater. The glow heaters wear out and crack or break and the spark-type spark gap gets fouled or dirty. Both could have electronics problems that drive the glow heater or spark systems. The Filtrete thermostat is not the issue. While rapping the unit makes the glow igniter come back together to glow again.

I bought a comfort glow vent-less space heater model # CJ18NL. It had a natural gas valve on it and the guy said I could put on a propane valve, which I did. It's not lighting. Is this model only good...

According to the Comfort Glow Website, this is a Natural Gas unit. If you use propane you will need
a minumum 100# LP Cylinder and a pressure regulator. I have a Comfort Glow unit and went through the same process.

If you have it hooked up to a 30lb cylinder without a regulator I would think that if you purged the gas line
of air you should be able to light the pilot.

On a new unit you can expect to push the spark ignitor button at least a dozen times while holding
down the gas valve button.

Good Luck

Pilot won't light

You may have to bleed some more air out of the system.

Your ODS pilot may be clogged with dust or lint and needs to be blown out with air(less than 30 psi).

Your regulator or gas valve may be faulty.

Remove the small copper colores tubing going from the gas valve to the pilot assembly. Take it to a good hardware store that sells heaters and ask them for a new one.It is called a thermocouple.

The pilot on my Comfort Glow Gas Logs CLD3924PTA won't stay lit. Can anyone help me with this problem??? Thanks

You must have some kind of flame sensor and it sounds as though it is not working correctly. If the pilot lights and then goes off, I would look there first. Good luck...Lee

If you have a pilot, you have a thermocouple. I would start with the thermocouple. The thermocouple is supposed to be heated by the piolet and to keep the pilot gas on. If it is faulty, the pilot will quit and the heater will not reignite until you light it again. Good luck...Lee

Have Model CGP30TB Copmfort Glow propane heater. Pilot light won't stay lit. Flames also coming from what seem to be air vents just below flame on pilot light.

sounds like an obstruction in pilot assembly.try using canned compressed air to blow directly into pilot. this technique is successful about 70%. if not, pilot assembly must be removed and cleaned thorougly

Wont stay lit

If the pilot flame does not touch the thermocouple, the heater will do exactly what you describe.

Get a short piece of copper tubing that will fit snugly over the thermocouple and bend the short piece so that it is in the pilot flame.

Comfort Glow Vent-free Gas Heater CGN18B

the pilot light is operated off a millivolt generator. that is the small tube directly in the pilot flame. its purpose is to generate a small dc current which is connected to the pilot valve inside the main valve. setting the control to pilot opens just the pilot gas supply. when operating normally the millivolt generator keeps a small electromagnet pulled in that keeps the pilot gas supply open. if it don't work the pilot gas supply valve closes. replace the thermocouple.
