Question about Sony KDL-46XBR4 46 in. LCD Television

1 Answer

Sony turn on and off no codes

The trouble seem related to temp. After warm up five to ten minutes the screen starts to break up (lose of video) into small noisy vertical line for just a second or two then the TV just shut off for about 10 second turns back ow with out any problems or trouble codes being flashed. Sometime the cycle will repeat quickly and sometime not at all. I'm thinking either the controller board or the Power Supply. Any thought will be helpful.

Sounds like T'Con board fault. Contact the authorized service centre for Sony. If this is true, the T'Con board will be available only by the Sony service centre. No way to get it from open electronic spare part market. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Pull up older posts. How long since a tune-up? Any applicable trouble codes? If temp related, check the coolant temp sensor. Check your throttle position sensor. Don't replace anything unless your testing points in that direction.

ok its one of two things you need to check when it cuts off if you have spark or fuel if you lose fuel pressure replace pump it gets hot and makes noise like its running but its not pumping fuel and if you lose spark you need to replace ignition control module has a hair line crack in it and when gets hot the crack expands and loses contact and wala no spark

I'm thinking the thermostat has failed, it get's too hot and the emergency over temp sensor kills the flame before a fire is started.

Showing a engine service soon

The code that it is throwing is P0128, "Coolant Temp Below
Thermostat Regulating Temp. If your car is not running hot try this. If it is running hot take it to the shop or replace your thermostat yourself this is probably the problem.
Simply disconnect your battery, turn on the headlight switch for about five to ten minutes, and re-connect the battery. This is pretty simple, but will likely result in you losing your radio presets and perhaps some other small things like that.
This will reset your light. If it comes back on your thermostat or temper sensor may be bad.
Good Luck Hope this helps>
