My 20V max power unit and drill attachment has developed problems with the trigger; this was given to me as a gift for x-mas last year. how do i go about having it repaired under warranty?

Usually the manufacturer has a web-site with warranty information. Search manufacturer's name. Ask gifter where item was purchased from. It might be a local store that can assist

Drill tipped over on bench and ran battery completely dead. Put battery in charger and it does not even light up. Not charging?

Wondering if anyone knows whats wrong with my drill...when i press the trigger the drill works sometimes and not others


Open the tool and control the purple and brown colored wire where the slide contacts are fitted on the carbonbrush holder or the switch itself.

Do allways the Battery slide connector contacts control


Remove the two sliding contacts loose and squeeze the contacts slide a bit and then connect again.
If unsuccessful buy a new switch as well as battery connectors are checked.

Dewalt cordless 12v drill, 3speed model...spinning problem


Sounds like your brushes are either damaged or the armature is failing the current. Remove the brushes first and inspect them, that is where your arcing is coming from. If the brushes appear ok, your problem is in the armature itself. Regardless of low use, if you store the unit with the battery attached, there are issues with the current draw while stored.
