There is a short circuit in the wires or in the unit! First check all wires it, could be any, you would need to check with a circuit tester!

When the bass hits the amp light goes on and off ?

Make sure you have good solid connections on your power and ground wires. Make sure the ground wire is touching bare metal if it is grounded to the chassis.

I have a kenwood kac-728s and two coustic 10in. subwoofers hooked to it and every time i start my car and the radio powers on the two 20 watt fuses on the amp blows.any ideas?

That is pretty much saying that the amp's power supply is shorted or at least has a low resistance path to ground which is causing the fuses on the amp to blow. The amp has protection circuitry to prevent damage to the output stage so that is not what is causing this. Is the amp new?

Kenwood KAC-729S keeps blowing fuses. Checked all cables, re-ran power, remote, and ground. All good, still blows them at power-up.

Hello opey_69a,

Here are the troubleshooting steps for fuses blowing.
1) Remove all wiring except ground, power and remote and see if the amp powers up without blowing the fuses. If it does, the problem is in the input cables or speaker wiring.
2) The use of loudspeaker impedances below the recommended minimums will cause the amp to draw excessive current - check.
3) A shorted or grounded RCA cable may cause the fuses to blow - check.
4) If an amplifier fuse blows continually, with only +12 volt, ground and remote leads connected, the amplifier is probably defective, most likely shorted output MOSFET's. In this case the amp needs professional repair or replacement.

Hope this helps.

My sons kac 848 amp just stopped working

There is an Internal Fuse on Most of these Models that will blow from time to time. You might also check the Ground Connection. A loose Ground can cause the Same Problem. Please Rate My Response! Thanks!

I have a kenwood kac-9152d amp i fried it opened it and the inner ground wire was fried in half now it just blows my fuses????

Dang! That's a class D anp! How did you fry it? If you "replaced" the internal ground wire and now it just blows fuses, I would say that the amp is direct shorted at the power supply if the fusesblow instantly when you put the fuses in.

Kenwood KAC-X1R and one 12" Kenwood KFC-XW1222D at 1 ohm blow out.Why is that happening?

You may have a high resistance in your positive or negative power supply. with your amp you need to use at least a 2 gauge power cable. Is your fuse blowing? if so then a short circuit to ground may be causing that.
Good luck
