Next week the new SN25N239EU will be installed by the official siemens representative - i am forbidden to open the packaging - only the representative may - else this cancels the warantee - a carpenter prepared the place in the kitchen - i know the power cord is 1.70 meters and i amm measuring the distance from the machine to the socket in the wall - it matters if the power cord exits the machine from the left or right side - - from the front i hope it is the right - from the back left of course

Where is your handbook? The power cord connection is usually obvious as a heavy connector block behind an access panel. If you aren't familiar with domestic electrics get someone who is.

How to connect reset power and leds

Okay, look at your motherboard from this orientation so we're both looking at the same thing in the same way.

1_6_2014_10_29_59_pm.jpg

On the bottom of the motherboard, just above and to the right of the notation "MADE IN CHINA", is a group of pins with the notation above that reads "PANEL 1". That's where your Power switch, Reset Switch and LED lines will plug into.
Look at the eight pins in the nine pin panel that form a box of two rows of four pins each. Those are the actual pins you'll be using. Ignore the one on the bottom row that's off by itself. Shuttle does, so we should as well.
Now, to the right and down of PANEL 1 is a little drawing on the motherboard of PANEL 1 with little lines and numbers and such. This little drawing shows you which pins are used for which lines. It looks kind of like this...
2 4 6 8
---------------------
'MSG ' PWR '
'LED ' BTN '
'--------------------'
'HDD ' RST '
'LED ' '
---------------------
1 3 5 7
Lastly, as PANEL 1 has a little "+" right next to Pin #2, and we don't have a manual handy because Shuttle seems to have all the information available on the web except a copy of the bloody manual, we're going to take an educated guess that for each two-pin part of the box, when plugging in the individual plugs, make sure the black wire is the one on the right, and the colored ones will be on the left.
So, plug the Power button into the upper-right two pins, black wire on the right, Reset on the lower-right, HDD LED on the lower-left and the Power LED on the upper-left. (I'm guessing that's what "MSG LED" means. There are no "Power LED" pins anywhere that I could find.
This should take you only a couple of minutes, so post back if you have any difficulty. If you need a hi-res image of this motherboard, go to the below link.

Dishwasher wont fill

The float is located just inside the door either on the left or right hand side, it's a simple float, if it's stuck in the fill position then try a gentle push to release it, and make sure nothing is under the float causing it to stick in the filled position.

Have problem with door on Frigidaire Electolux dishwasher. Door "falls open" rather than eases open.

there is a spring that connects to the side of the door (both right and left) than connects to the holes on the bottom of the dishwasher frame. These springs have either fallen off or broken. To see the area where they connect you will need to remove the very bottom panels below the door. Look at the frame where the leg height adjustment screws are and you will see several holes in the frame the springs will most likely be right there and just need to be reconnected to the frame itself. If the springs are not there then the springs will more than likely be right at the bottom left and right side of the doors. These springs should be set in the 3rd hole back from the front if the door drop is still too fast set the spring further back on the frame.

Hope this helped

There is water left in the dishwasher and the smell comes up through the drain

Look under the sink where the dishwasher drain line connects to the waste pipe outlet. The dishwasher connecting hose should be supported higher than the outlet connection. If the dw drain hose is too low the sink drain water is backing into the dishwasher.

Whaere is the scart lead?

http://www.e-daewoo.com/products/owners_manual/DTS42(English).pdf

Please have a look at the above user manual from the Daewoo site. You may need to down load the Adobe PDF reader if you can't open the file. You can get that from this web site;-

http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html

I am not sure that this is exactly your model but one page of the PDF document , page 14 shows the connections at the back of the TV with no obvious SCART connection. So I think you will have to connect the two using a component video cable and the Left and right audio cables as show in the manual on page 28. or via an s video cable and right and left audio cables as show on page 30.

If the connections in this manual look about right for the connections on the back of the your TV set I would be tempted to take this manual printed out (or just the image of the back of the set page 14) down to your local TV shop with the Freeview box and ask them what cables they recommend you use to connect the set.

Also be aware that cables from these TV shops cost a fortune and you can probably buy the cables cheaper on eBay once you know which ones you need. Without seeing the freview box its hard to know what cable options that box offers you.

DISHWASHER DRAMA

If you can hear the drain motor humming, look for a clog in the air gap. That's the silver dome on the back of the sink. If there's nothing there, you'll have to find the clog inside the bottom of the dishwasher.
Remove the bottom rack. Rotate the short tube that the lower spray arm is connected to about 1/4 turn clockwise and remove the lower spray arm. Remove the screens over the pump assembly. The hole to the drain pump is on the bottom right. If the motor hums, but doesn't pump, and there's no clog, the pump must be replaced.

If the motor doesn't hum in the drain mode, check for power at the pump with a voltmeter. the pump is behind the toe panel on the left. Reaching the terminals to take a reading may be difficult. you can disconnect the terminals from the pump to take the reading only if you use rubberized alligator clips to connect to the wires. If the motor has power but doesn't hum, replace the motor. If there's no power to the motor, replace the electronic control / timer.
