I've seen your reply and still say you need to check the heavy relay. Take off the side cover and look into the bits around the transformer coil and you will see a large domestic/industrial contactor. When yo press the trigger this relay should operate. If it doesn't and proves to be defective they are available from electrical wholesalers or ebay. Look at the rating and match it. You don't say whether when you swap the leads back that it works? Give it a go and write back.

I forgot to say, has it the capability of using both methods?

On Jan 29-2014 a guy called John Thompson gave chapter and verse on how to convert from gas to gasless on a similar machine.. It was in the MIG Welders section. I don't know if you can search previous topics but if you put in Rossi mig welder you may get lucky?

What do you mean "it won't weld" ? Does the wire come out when you press the trigger? If so and there's no spark when you ground it then check the heavy relay that operates the heavy juice. Tell us what you have done and tried so far.

yep thats right the wire feeds out but there is no spark this is after we swapped the negative and positive over as we are trying to use gasless wire.

I have as similar issue. I swapped the polarity - no wire feed when i press the trigger -(inching works), no spark at work piece. HELP! what can i try? (or have i brought a lemon???)

Guys, I think you have to consult the owners handbook first to see if your machine can do reverse polarity. Its not a given on all machines. I think we will need machine name, model, spec etc before we can help further.

I need to know the POLARITY of the AC adaptor to provide the correct setting using a universal adapter.

there is no polarity in ac current as ac means alternating current and that means alternating between positive to negative back to positive back to negative and so on
only dc ( direct current ) and the center pin of the plug is designated as the positive pole has polarity, the outer case being the negative
OR Are you asking the voltage of the ac adapter and the voltage of the dc output side of the adapter

My lincoln mig 140 feeds the flux wire through, but it just sparks, will not weld

Make sure the ground clamp has a good connection to both the work piece and to the welder Sometimes the welder connection is overlooked.

Polar rectangular

There is nothing to convert, because if T is a real number so is 40sin(4000T).
40sin(4000T)=40abs(sin(4000T))*sign(sin(4000T))
where abs() is the absolute value of it argument, and sign(sin(4000T)) is positive or negative.
So in (radius, angle) polar coordinates
r= 40 abs(sin(4000T)),
theta =(0, or PI), depending on sign(sin(4000T))

If you are trying to graph parametric functions, this calculator does not do graphs, and you need another function of T

Rossi 220BZ Gas/Gasless Inverter Welder MIG MAG ARC Portable Welding Machine

The Rossi 220bz mig welder comes set up to use gas welding, that is with the Mig electrode connected to the positive terminal, inside the machine.
To use gasless mig wleding, the mig wire must be disconnected from the positive terminal inside the machine and reconnected to the Negative terminal - inside the machine. Open both the side coveres of the welder using a phillips screwdriver. Use a 13mm spanner to undo the hex nut holding the thick copper Mig lead to the terminal named positive, then lead it through the machine to the terminal on the oppisite side of the machine, labelled negative and screw it in place there with a 13mm hex screw. Be carefull not to bump any of the many electric parts inside the machine.
If you run the Mig welder in gasless mode with positive earth and positive elecrode it will blow the household electric fuse.
If you run the Mig welder in gasless mode with negative earth and positive electrode it will work, but the end of the Mig gun tip will get very very hot and start smoking abnormally from excessive heat.
But if you take the side covers off and rewire it (takes about 10 minutes) to negative Mig Electrode, the Mig gun tip remains cool and does not overheat. You will have to cut just one white cable tie, to get an extra inch or so of free Mig cable, so the thick copper Mig lead will reach accross to the terminal on the other side of the machine named negative. Stick the earth lead at the front in the positive terminal.
I did this on my Rossi 220bz mig welder.

Will not weld just splatters low open circut voltage only 27 volts

Hi:
27 volts is enough to weld. Have you check the polarity connection according to the wire you are using?
Solid wire: Ground clamp to negative pole. Flux cored wire: Ground clamp to positive side of the pole.

Lincoln power mig 300.when i weld, the wire globs in puddles on my work piece. i have tried adjusting speed and voltage. i need a direction to follow to fix the problem.

Hi:

Sound like you have the wrong polarity for the wire you are using. Without knowing what kind of wire you are using, check the following:

A) If using inner shield wire (gasless wire) your ground clamp must be connected to the positive (+) side and your ground cable to negative.

B) If using metal core wire (need gas) ground clamp must be on negative side.

Polarity change it's done on the upper side of the drive rolls.

Good luck.

How do I convert between the rectangular and polar form of a number with imaginary values? i.e. I want to take the number a+bi and convert it to polar D<(angle) and vice versa.

Use the >Rec and >Pol commands. They're in the Complex number menu, accessible through 2nd [CPLX] MORE.

[CPLX] is the shifted function of the 9 key.

What voltage and polarity do the ACS-5 speakers require?

Computers always use DC voltage. Computer speakers receive DC voltage from the computer.
DC voltage has a Positive and Negative polarity.

In the power jack of the speaker, the Center pin is the Positive connection. The outer shell is the Negative connection.

Center hole of the DC adapter plug - Positive.
Outer shell of the DC adapter plug - Negative

Voltage 5 Volts DC.
