Most manufacturers are putting their manuals online in PDF format. Go to their website and maybe you'll get lucky. If not, call their service number.. some manufacturers will send a manual for a nominal fee. There are also companies that collect and sell almost every manual imaginable but that can get pricey. Good luck.

Why did I developed a problem with the freezer on my EI23BC36IS3. Ice and snow like conditions have developed, and it is not from the door being left open. I am at a loss on how to correct the probl

Good Morning Leo,

I understand you are having ice and snow like conditions in the freezer of your Electrolux refrigerator, model# EI23BC36IS3. I also see that it is not due to the door being left open. I suggest checking the seal around the door for any type of damage or possibly the door is not sealing correctly. With the heat and humidity, this could cause the frost inside the freezer. Your appliance comes equipped with an Adaptive Defrost Control (ADC). To activate manual defrost, simultaneously press and hold the Fresh Food up, or plus sign, and Fresh Food down, or minus sign, keys for 5 seconds. A "d" in the freezer temperature window and "F" in the refrigerator temperature window will display when the heater is activated. To deactivate manual defrost, simultaneously press and hold the Fresh Food up, or plus sign, and Fresh Food down, or minus sign, keys for 5 seconds. A "d" and "F" will be displayed until the defrost cycle is complete. I ask that you please follow up with a comment on the post, at your convenience, to advise if further troubleshooting is needed or if your appliances status has changed successfully. Hope this is helpful.

-Best Regards-
WP

Kenmore 253.26442100 light is on but will not run, replaced the freezer control timer, what else?

Good day,
99% of will not run conditions are due either to the timer or the thermostat.
You've done one. Remove the tstat and jump the 2 wires going to it, to see if it starts. You'll have to make a small jumper wire from some #16 or #18 gauge wire bared on the ends.

Noises in freezer area of refrigerator

Some refrigerators have a small plastic fan under the bottom shelf of the freezer that circulates air. It's not too unusual for a heavily loaded shelf to rub the fan blades making the noise you describe. If you empty the freezer, you'll fin a few screws holding the bottom shelf in. remove the shelf and inspect the fan and surrounding parts for signs of rubbing. Also tug on the fan blade lightly to see if it is still attached to the motor's shaft securely. New fan blades can be purchased at a good appliance repair shop. Good Luck

My hotpoint under counter freezer isn't freezing properly

A freezer has a very simple operating design and there are only 2 customer serviceable components.
1. Make sure the cold control is set at the proper level.
2. Make sure that the door seal is making good contact with the cabinet. You can apply a thin coat of Vaseline to the door seal to help tight closure of the door.
Keep the door opening to a minimum during extreme heat conditions. Any small air leak can drastically reduce the operating norms during extreme heat conditions.
That's about all that you can do to regain control, the rest will have to be performed by a refrigeration tech. if you are still dissatisfied.

Digital display and computer board needs to be replaced

No, not necessarily a lemon. With the higher percentage of electronic controls being used in appliances these days it happens - and is no small cost. My advice to you is bite the bullet and DON'T repair it, buy a new one, with an extended service warranty.

Motor runs, some ice at top level, but temp is at 50-60 degrees.

Defrost the freezer. Door being ajar allows moisture to build on the freezer coil and stops air circulation. In frost free units this condition should clear itself after about 8-12 hours max. Locating and advancing the timer by rotating the clutch head screw clockwise slowly until you hear one click. This will start the automatic defrost manually.
