Yes and No.... You can wire your subs down to a half ohm and run it on your audiobahn amp however I would not do that if I were you the amp is only 1 ohm stable and these amps are famous for running hot at 1 ohm and go into thermal shut down I have owned quite a few and they all have this problem but running your amp under that ohm load will eventually cause the amp to fail it's not an if but a matter of when hope this helps

How can I keep this thing cool at one ohm

It will never work at 1 ohm for more than a few minutes. you may be able to run it at 2 ohms stereo and 4 ohms Mono but 1 ohms stereo may be too much for the amp to handle no matter what you do to cool it.

A2300HCT Car Audio Amplifier: i have a audiobahn a 2300 hct amp and it has stopp...

Well, sounds like you have an internal damage since it smokes, if it smokes as soon as it kicks on, and blowing the fuse right away, I would have it fixed. But my guess would be something with the ground that is making this happen, or some how your power is grounding on the amp. When ever smoke comes into play, thats never good any way at this point you gotta admitt that thiers internal damage.. blowing fuses can also be cause by over working your amp. along with the sub load at 1 ohm make sure your amp can do the same.. hope this was helpful in some way

HEY I HAVE 4 GAUGE GROUND & POWER THAS WHAT THE AMP ALLOWS. I TRY 0 GAUGE BUT IT IS TO BIG FOR THE AMP. A2300HCT.

    Hello again VICENTEMULGA,

Audiobahn's website has apparently been shut down and it's my understanding that they are no longer manufacturing any new products. And not supporting the old ones, online anyway.

But I did find this site that sold the A2300HCT and still have the specifications listed. The 3rd from the bottom in the description shows "1/0- or 2-gauge power and ground leads recommended".

At the very least, you should consider running 1/0 or 2-gauge from the battery to a distribution block and then run a very short jumper from the distribution block to the amp.

I HAVE A A2300HCT AUDIOBAHN I WANT TO CONECTED TO 6 12 INCH CROSSFIRE ALL 6 GIVE ME 1 OHM DO YOU THINK I CUOLD LOWER THE AMP TO 1 OHM IF NOT WHATS MY BEST CHOICE

    Hello VICENTEMULGA,

According to Audiobahn's specifications, the amp is stable at 1ohm, either with the channels driven separately or in bridged mode. With the channels driven separately, the rated output is 1,200 watts at 1 ohm. In bridged mode, the rated output is 2,400 watts.

You'll need an absolute minimum of 2gauge power and ground, and preferably 1/0gauge and a really good alternator to provide enough current for the beast.

    Hope this helps.

^ from Digikey.com are a good replacement. You need to replace all of the Z48s on the side of the amp where the ones that failed were located. Digikey will also have the resistors. There may be other problems. If you're new to repair work, read through the following page.

    Wierd stopped working audiobahn a2300hct

Disconnect all speaker wires from the speaker terminals of the amp and disconnect signal cables from the amp. If it powers up normally, the wiring and speakers need to be checked. If it still shuts down, the amp likely has blown output transistors.

    Amp. Audiobahn a2300hcx

If the subs are dual 4 ohm voice coils and if your amp is good down to 1 ohm, your best bet is:
    1. Connect the voice coils in parallel ("+"s together, "-"s together). This will make the impedance of each sub 2 ohms.
    2. Connect the subs in parallel.
    3. Bridge the amp to one channel.
This should max the amp out at 2400W, which means about 1200W per sub.

If your subs are single 4 ohm voice coils, do the same steps, but you'll only be able to load the amp to 2 ohms, which means about 600W per sub.

Also keep in mind that box size, type, and quality make a big difference in how subs sound.
