If you are trying to login to your first Facebook account, you must enter the password associated with that account only. The same rule applies to your second account as well. You may be getting a request to reset your password because probably you are not putting the right password in the right place. Try putting your account name and password suitably and see if that resolves the issue.

If you still get the request to reset your password, you can reset it by following the instructions mentioned on the link below:

Your facebook accounts should use different email addresses
try loging in with the individual user name instead of a common email address

Went to log into my facebook but forgot password so made a new one now its like a hole new facebook page i have no newsfeed no friend list not a thing that i had on my old facebookhow do i get it back

It sounds like you have set up a new account rather than an fixing the old account. Use this new account to search for your name. When you find that account, click Forgot Password. Log out of the new account, use the password reset link to set up a new password. You can also use a notification email to get to your old account. Also Clear your Internet Cache and COOKIES before doing the new password.

Deleted my original account of Facebook now I can't get it again plus I have extra accounts now that I had started trying to get the original mine back. What can I do?

It is possible to re-activate Facebook accounts that have been deleted or deactivated. Sometimes users may want to re-use old Facebook accounts. This can be done by logging in to the Facebook using the email provided during the registration process along with password. An alert message stating that the user account is no longer active will be displayed. A registration email from Facebook will automatically be sent to the email address provided when logging in to Facebook. In order to re-activate the Facebook account, the internet link in the email sent must be clicked and the corresponding instructions followed.

  • Log in to Facebook with your original email and password
  • A red sign will appear saying that you have tried to log in a deactivated account
  • They will use the email that you used during your original registration and send an email about reactivation!
  • In the email you will find a link, just follow it

Why does my MacBook Air keep telling me that my facebook account is locked?

This may have more to do with your Facebook account than with your MacBook itself. Try signing into Facebook from another computer using your user name and password. If your account is OK, change your password. Go back to your macBook and log in with your news password. I have the problem with my Ipad sometimes. Often Facebook will send you a message apologizing for problems logging in. Try logging in from that message.

How do I sign into my facebook account on a different PC

Point your web browser at http://www.facebook.com

If another account comes up, log out of it by clicking the down-pointing triangle in the upper-right then clicking "Log Out."

If you then still can't log in to your account, click the "Forgot your password?" link located just below the password box on the login page.

You'll probably want to log out of your account when you're done. See the second paragraph above.

I cannot log into facebook

Facebook has become a daily or near-daily habit for many people all over the world: People spend more than 700 billion minutes every month on the site, talking to friends, playing games and sharing information. While signing up with Facebook is simple, sometimes accessing an existing account can prove to be problematic. This can occur for a variety of reasons.
1.Incorrect Password
Facebook users who attempt to log into the site with an incorrect password will not be able to access their account until they go through the password recovery process. Users can recover their Facebook password by clicking the "Forgot Your Password?" link underneath the password login field. Users must enter their Facebook email address, linked mobile phone number, Facebook username, or their name and a friend's name. Following information entry, users can click the "Search" button to identify their account and have the password reset to a new password of the user's choice.
2.Incorrect or Forgotten Email
Facebook users who provide an incorrect email address will be unable to log into the site. Since an email address must be entered exactly as it appears on the email account, including any capital or lowercase letters, numbers and special symbols, an incorrect email login may be as simple as an accidental lowercase letter or a forgotten underscore. Facebook users should check their email address to ensure that no mistakes of this nature have occurred before login.
If a user has forgotten the email address used for their Facebook account, Facebook suggests the following options for email address recovery: Try to log in with a username if one was registered, try to log in using a mobile phone number if one is linked to the account, try locating the account on the "Password Reset" page, or ask a Facebook friend to view the account and find the email address listed on the profile. If none of these options work, Facebook suggests using any option on the "Recover Your Account" page.
3.Cache Or Cookies Problems
Facebook users who are unable to log in may be having a cache or cookies problem. To fix these type issues, users should clear the cache and cookies on the computer or mobile device, enter "m.facebook.com" as a URL rather than using previously established bookmarks or links, then log in as usual.
4.Account Disabled by Facebook
Facebook seeks to keep its site populated with real people, rather than fake profiles. As Facebook states, "Since accounts that impersonate anyone or anything can damage the integrity of this environment, Facebook doesn't allow fake profiles for celebrities, pets, ideas or inanimate objects." If your profile is deemed to be a potential fake profile, the account may be disabled by Facebook. When this occurs, the user will get a message upon attempted login that provides a link to the "Confirm Your Identity" page. This page provides possible reasons that the account may have been disabled. In some cases, it is due to the user not confirming an identity via a phone number.

I hope you find it very helpful. Best regards.
