The battery compartment door will not stay closed. Tape does not hold it tight, so I keep loosing the date settings.

Any suggestions as to how to keep it closed tight?

-   I dont have the EXACT problem as others with the door but my problem is about the 5th time we removed the battery, the small yellow or orange battery retainer clip broke. We now have to press the battery into place with a paper clip and wrestle the door closed.
The camera is not even a few months old, it was received by Nikon yesterday and they sent me a repair authorization request for nearly $90 to repair it!
Needless to say, we will reject the estimate if a voice call doenst get the repair made, have the camera returned and get rid of it as soon as possible.
The nerve of these people...
Bring on the Sony we should have purchased in the first place.
